Kingsmarch is optional. You don't have to interact with it at all.

If they revert kingsmarch, they better also revert the map mods loot values and map mod effect atlas nodes, because kingsmarch is half of our currency generation right now.

Also, if you delete kingsmarch, what is the new gold sink? with the creation of Faustus and async trade, gold and gold sinks are here to stay. Pick your poison.

In regards to sinks, I'm sure they could think of something. They could also just balance drop amounts and Faustus/Async fees.

Tattoos could go to Legion and show up in Ritual windows, runes could go to Expedition. The uniques from Settlers could just be added to the core drop pool.

As I was typing that last reply, I was thinking of ways to implement sinks that would feel rewarding and not just a currency for trade and asynchronous drip-fed boat gambles.

Ritual Scarab of Avarice

Allows you to refresh the Ritual window with gold, increasing in cost and higher chance for uncommon rewards per refresh. This would operate similar to the Ventor's Strongbox in POE2, which would also make a great sink.

I'm currently sitting on ~330m gold in Standard. I just play the game and the number goes higher. I'm running mappers in Kingsmarch and all positions are filled. I will never run out of this gold at this rate.

There should definitely be more sinks.

You running blight? the gold output of blight compared to everything else is insane. I'm at over 120m in league, refreshing mappers whenever I'm online.

I don't dislike that scarab idea, but I dont think it would be an effective sink for the overall economy. The reason kingsmarch works, is because it feels so "mandatory". If you play the game and have gold, and place any value on currency generation, you just do it, its too effective not to.

Plenty of people would use the ritual scarab, but the majority would still being running something other than.

I think the answer would just be to slash gold drops, no sink, but no abundance of gold either.

If they delete Kingsmarch it'll be in good old GGG fashion. As a result they'll also delete gold, the currency exchange and async trade.
