If I try to determine how much "0.7 divines" is by myself, I will either give too little chaos in the trade and the person will be like "wtf" or I'll scam myself and give too much.

check the currency exchange ever so often and you know the current divine price. current divine price x 0.7, it's not that hard.

Like, I'm sorry but I shouldn't need a PhD in economics and math to play this arpg.

It's basic math, something that you already learn as early as elementary school. No need for a PhD here.

Lets just rejoice in the fact that if GGG reads these forums they also realize that some people giving feedback cant do X * .7 = Y. Then consider that when reading their feedback.

Wat

You shouldn't have to do math formulas to play a videogame. That's just ridiculous.

Now if Faustus just tells me the exact price in chaos, and auto-extracts that from my stash when I buy from someone's merchant tab, then its all good. I should not be the one calculating these things, the game should.

If not then I'd literally ignore all trades asking for not a whole number of divs because its annoying.
Everything in this game is dictated by math. I don't know what else to tell you. If you truly understood anything in this game you would know that already.

Its actually sad that someone with so little knowledge and the lack of willingness to do 3rd grade arithmatic can farm ubers. All the more reason for all bosses and t17s to void characters if you die.

if the game did the math for you people would get scammed and be crying that they should be able to do their own math.

lol what?!?!?! Have you ever played a video game?

At least 90% of all video game since the freaking '80s involved math. Simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division has almost universally been a staple of video games, except the MOST basic games that have ever existed, like virtual candyland. It is beyond exceedingly rare, to the point of nonexistence, that a video game is developed to do all math for you.

That might be the strangest, most out of left field comment you have ever written on these forums. And that is saying something. And its astonishing insight into why you have so many issues with this game and its systems that you like to complain about.

Even the most basic board games for like 5 year olds.....require math.
Starting anew....with PoE 2

You know, for a second I thought Toforto is taking a joke a little too far but I am slowly getting convinced he actually means that
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
Would be nice, but they make their entire studio jump ship for each league.

Id agree with you if they had a skeleton dev crew on poe1 but unfortunately that time is long gone. They care way more about poe2 and poe1 has now become a testing ground for poe2 (prime example: foulborn uniques)

I don't want to jump to conclusions so let me ask this: what do you mean when you say Foulborn Uniques are only in PoE1 to be tested and later added to PoE2?

That's like saying they only made Delirium so we can run Simulacrums in PoE2. And it's not even the first time they had a league mechanic interact and change existing uniques. Compared to Scourge, this one is much better.

Besides, even if eventually Foulborn Uniques are being added to PoE2, what's the issue with that? We got to experience some crazy build diversity and a huge playing field to experiment with tons of new items. Right now I still have a backlog of like 5 builds I mean to build all based around Foulborns. You can get real creative with these.

Would appreciate if you could clarify because otherwise that's one hell of a take you made there.

Well said. And the weird thing is, we aren’t new to the game at all, which only raises more questions

Well, we already know there are no real requirements to buy an Uber carry. In theory, all you need is to gather the currency somehow and you’re good to go, and this case once more perfectly illustrates why this entire carry cheese needs to be removed.

Players already scammed themselves with the old trading system, and even with the new one as well, though both are rock solid and scam proof unless you somehow scam yourself. But we have seen it often enough that the victims of self-grief still pointed their fingers at the game. So even if the game did all the math for the players, they would somehow still manage to scam themselves and then complain that the game is at fault for their own actions. So I do not know.

But how do we know how much money the carry will cost? GGG please!

Working at Dominos Pizza in Canada. I'm not even joking, I saw him on a bus when I was on vacation in Esquimalt, Victoria last year.
