Content Update 0.4.0 — Path of Exile 2: The Last of the Druids

On the contrary, everyone has been nerfed, and now it takes longer to farm, which means the game won't be completed in a week like it was last time.
That strategy would work if we are 2000's when there were no other games of the same genre and when game market was not of the size as it is now.

I give it 1 week to lose 50% of players.
50% of old players, I think it will be even more interesting for new players than it was on 0.1.0, because there is much more content

Doesnt work like that. For average player(majority btw) its easier to leave the game if it becomes a second work. Always been like that and always will be. If league mechanic is bad, then its a 1 week league, considering all these nerfs. Also timing is kinda bad, work and family hustle is here, new year you know.

Well I'll be playing at least 8 days personally... maybe 30 who knows. While so far 0.3 was the shortest amount of time I played in a league so far. A few days after the tower patch. On the forums a lot of people think that was a great change... I thought it was crap and end game already sucked after you run so many maps or do so many bosses.

So unless I find the mini dungeon temple game fun I won't be surprised if I leave pretty quick. Although it will involve running X amount of build experiments through the campaign because that's the only part of the game I still enjoyed after towers were removed or disabled whatever wording you want.

If you think casualization is a good thing, you can look at the leagues in Diablo 3 and see that any class can quickly build a build for billions of damage, and it becomes uninteresting to play. The game is only interesting as long as the player sees interest in it, interest in tangible development, in exploring content.
Nice zombie buff for 4 days to absolutely make it unplayable, first time ever I've decided to play it. I was waiting it for 3 leagues cause 20 seconds zombies (depended on power charges) was a real trash already and I hoped that you'll add smth like baron to make it permanent, or it can be 100 ways but you chose the worst ever - to destroy the skill uncompromisingly. There's pretty blue zombies but now is a visual illogical trash with no speed and no thickness and nothing I can do about it. It would be better if you just deleted it.

why do you guys complain all day, just play Poison PF if you care about one shoting everything.

Easy to gear, insane early to late game damage, fast movement. What else do you want, looking at the comments you only care about this so play poison pf and enjoy the league?

stop pretending you have a clue.

The rebalance what GGG is based on is on mirror tier gear where some niche builds shine, so its basically not a balance but a nerf of mediocre even a bad builds when played on average gear.

I shall remind you the iiq tablet mod will be removed in 0.4, and the richest guys will still lose 22% movement speed from boots (usually 1/7-1/8 ms), lose homogenising to spend 15-100 times of currency on your gear. So if seriously you want to enjoy the terrible game, it might waste 4-5 more times of your time than last terrible "league" 0.2.
TLTR: Charges are still inconvenient and not dependable when it matters (boss fights). So, hopefully, limiting a player to 3 Empowered Zombies out of 10 is worth the inconvenience.

"Raise Zombie: Creating a Zombie from a Power Charge now also creates 2 additional non-empowered Zombies. Empowered Zombie now deals 122-253% more damage with Hits at Gem levels 5-20 (previously 100)."

Is the idea that a user, with a limit of 10 zombies, can only have 3 Empowered Zombies raised at a time? This seems to:

- Dilute the needed power boost of Empowered Zombies
- Dilute the reward for investing in charges.

I've been using Empowered Zombies since the beta came out, and I was excited for the new changes to Empowered Zombie damage (as it was needed). This new change confuses me a bit, as Zombie/Powercharge sustain was never an issue while clearing (and it's non-existent in boss fights), so why the focus on meeting the zombie cap instead of damage? Zombie players still have to use to a completely different skill in boss fights without extra enemies (which they have to plan around), and players were easily at their zombie cap while clearing.

Considering Empowered Zombies don't get a health boost compared to regular Zombies (and how much a build sacrifices to commit to charges), this change conflicts with gems like "Minion Instability", which are very typical gems to use on temporary minions such as Zombies. Why bother with Empowered Zombies at all? If zombies don't exist in a boss fight, because of a lack of corpses, and corpses are found in plenty while clearing, why care about the raised quantity? Is it simply the mana cost savings?

I guess I'm just failing to see how this improves the zombie experience at all. Now that I can only have 3 Empowered Zombies at once, why would I bother investing so much of my build around charges when only 33% of my skill will benefit from it? I guess the hope is that 3 Empowered Zombies are worth the bother of Charges? Hopefully that's the case. But, balance-wise, those three Empowered Zombies will need to be more impactful than 10 regular zombies blowing up (Minion Instability). Otherwise, it's not worth the inconvenience of Power Charges at all.

Those are just my initial thoughts on this newest change (11-12-2025). I'm still very excited to try it out.
