This league was so unfun, boring, buggy and problematic I'm just gonna quit after 2 weeks.

-T17's still in the game.
-Random ping spikes to the millions even though every other app and game works perfectly fine, even used ping plotter and it's on GGG's side.
-Absolute non-existent balancing, we got penance brand with 1.6k damage effectiveness and storm brand on 200.
-Only viable builds are stackers. Just stack something, mana/str/int/acc/es/charges/... the best build of the current league? Int accuracy stacker.
The best build is the one that can stack 2 stats at the same time.
-Blue life still leap years better than red.
-Endgame crafting options since expedition have been shit.
-No reason to even push to end game, let me invest 500 divs in a build that will allow me to get currency 10% more efficiently.
-Altars uselss, scarabs uselss, groundloot useless, tileloot useless. Feels like I'm collecting pennies from the side walk just to buy a car with it. The grind feels garbage.
-Challenges are the boring stuff for some boring ass looking gear.

Right now there's way better games on steam that poe1 is just not worth it.
Poe2 isn't even a game, more like a self hate machine for masochists.

GJ ggg, you went from 1 good game to 2 bad ones. Brilliant.

Can we, once and for all, address this setting?

I don’t mind having a gear penalty, or bonus, to light radius. It’s part of the game and I can live with it but can we not make it in a way that influences when you’re in low life?
Playing dark pact, or using relic of the pact, makes this unbearable since most maps are dark and I stop seeing things when I’m attacking.

Light radius should not be influenced by the amount of life you lost. It’s a bad solution and just hinders players that use life based skills.

I basically turn PoE on, play a map or two and quit for another three or four days.


I guess it’s valid feedback since no replies from the usual “whatever GGG does is the best” suspects didn’t stormed into it.

I even bought the last GW2 expansion and I’m having fun over there.

With a list like that, I'd be wondering if the game is for me anymore. I remember when I had my falling out with D3, similar type list.

just so you're aware, i agree and many others do too with your general sentiment. but ive learned that there are better ways to voice your opinion if you want to truly be heard than to be so dismissive as you are.

It's not true at all. At first his opinion is very civil, second, no one in GGG cares about your opinion, only collective impression matters. Obviously they handle it as they should, it's not some small company.

I started a week late, and finished within like 3 days really. No div orbs dropped at all getting to like t13 maps.

Like I just didn't feel motivated to play at all. Not that getting a good drop would have solved my issues with the game, but it would make me feel like some parts of the game at least function without having to go to like 300% quant and rarity 5 scarab ghosted t17 maps with leeches. I think the game would be INFINITELY better if Mageblood and Headhunter where deleted, it would force GGG to start actually balancing the endgame around a reasonable level of gear investment. on that note remove +charge implicits from synth and corruption outcomes with some other outliers and you could have a much more well rounded game.

In my opinion, the biggest issue for me lies in yellow and white maps being largely useless. The items are too low level for endgame players to be interested in, the rolls on them are so bad despite the tree generating some interesting stuff. The loot is too full of useless scarabs and div cards. it is insulting frankly.

Poe is a game about upgrades that makes getting upgrades uninteresting and very very time consuming. Like why can't I select what exarch or eater implicit I want to use instead of RNG rolling them? just make the "good" ones cost more currency to apply. Why do I need to do a strange ritual of crafting sockets and removing them to get the colors I WANT TO USE instead of just painting them? and on that note why even have sockets and links in the first place if it makes replacing gear nearly impossible? Why have destroying your item or doing nothing as crafting outcomes on Vaal orbs? Like these systems have value, but they end up detracting from the experience moreso than adding to it. I think this is why POE2 got rid of a lot of this kind of stuff.

What starts off as good ideas becomes asinine when you don't get a 4link until a quest reward in the campaign and are doing 20-30% less damage than you were expecting. I have seen so many new players realize their skill sucks, their build sucks, or the game isn't what they thought it would be and just bounce. This game advertises a experience it really doesn't deliver on, and the fans saying it is the best game ever made only hurt it.

Every league I want to like this game, because it does some good things, but every league without fail, the mechanics don't enable the vision. I don't want to sit in a hideout for hours rubbing rocks on an item or using a crafting bench instead of killing monsters and interesting bosses. But every league bosses are too rare and far between, and having to sit down and craft just isn't fun. What the game delivers that isn't the ultra endgame just isn't enjoyable and it is where the majority of players are.

Well said. We don't ask to drops be much much better. There is a line and in this league they just went under it.
It's interesting how little you have to do, to from some best feeling game ever, make it boredom fest.

You can dump these maps to Kingsmarch mappers or vendor them 3:1 for higher tier ones, hardly any problems here.
As for "useless loot" there's loot filters that can hide everything you don't want.

You don't, unless you want like say all red sockets on some pure EV/ES base.
As for "painting them", you have option to determine the colors of up to 3 sockets at that crafting bench.
However, if you're playing kindergarten league AKA softcore trade, you can skip all that and just straight buy whatever you want.

Because it's "risk/reward" sort of gambling which you most likely should'n do on your only (insert item name) without having some sort of backup if you're not OK with the "risk" part?
BTW, in POE2 you have negative outcome too - say i had a krangled HOWA there with scuffed stats (+x%/-x% outcome).

Siriusly? You can get 6-socket something even in act 3 by rolling strongboxes for +2 sockets mod, you can get 6S5L or even 6L if you're lucky by doing some level ~45ish heist contracts, and this league that tree literally shits them, just tick that "roll sockets/links" node.
Also there's totally no need even of 4L to complete the campaign, but if you really want, you can socket something appropriate in Bitterdream and have a 9-link at level 32 :)

...and in softcore trade you can do exactly that. However, if you want that with absolutely no effort like in these "idle xxx" mobile games - that's hardly possible.
