is there an easy solution to the loadtimes? is my ssd too full? drivers old?

from 2 league's ago to this league somethings wrong with loadtimes.
or was it 3 leagues? was it kingsmarch?

something is rotten.

did you step up the higher tier textures the millionaire quad hd people
with i9's ? go ahead and serve that crew of whales.... but don't ignore
us working class who invested a paltry 20-100$ in the game.

make this right.

if it is not your fault, find a way to communicate to us what we can do
to mitigate it. its a problem you well know about. get on it.

Game's performance has just been bricked for a lot of people, from low to high-end PCs its just affecting a huge number of players. Countless comments about it in bug reports and technical support.

At best we can hope they fix it in 3.28, or they won't and eventually the game will become unplayable. Its because of this 4-month release cycle. Optimization is important, yet its being completely ignored atm
It would genuinely help if you could share your system specs, because an SSD being a bit full or slightly slower usually isn’t enough to cause drastically longer loading times. What does tend to matter are your actual hardware details, especially your CPU, since the game leans heavily on processor performance.

At the moment, there aren’t any issues on GGG’s radar related to abnormally long loading times. For the vast majority of players things are running normally this league, so this doesn’t line up with any known game or server-side problems. In many cases, situations like yours come down to hardware limitations or network instability, factors that developers simply can’t resolve on their end when they originate outside the game.

This is where your specs would really help clarify what’s happening. Server region can matter too, for example, some EU routes are still suffering from terrible ISP-side routing, which can inflate loading times. Unfortunately, that’s the kind of thing no developer can fix for you, only the provider responsible for that routing.

Virtually every party I join at least one person complains about it.
Its extremely widespread and it's a bad sign if its not even on their radar.

I would say my load times are about 2x's what they were back in Sanctum, and its most notable with hideouts. I've a fairly high end RoG comp and PoE loads a lot worse then PoE2. Both are horribly optimized. Most games I run on Max, PoE I have to run on Low nowadays, PoE2 I can at least use medium and high.

There are countless threads of people jumping through hoops to get the game to function normally. People have written programs for it lol.

It needs addressed and fixed asap.

And its not on the User, otherwise things like ExitLag could be utilized to offset the issue.

This league is when my load times started getting worse. Its not suddenly everyones pc. Something is off with the game. I used to get 1-2s load screens now theyre 25-30s this league. sometimes absurdly long.

Also a lot of boss abilities arent rendering. When im in feared the only reason i know im in sirus tunnel is i can only move 2 directions. Cant see his spinny beam either. The new fire boss from last league his big fireballs that linger dont render either. The boss with the statues also doesnt render the cold patches on the floor before he slams. Sometimes the flowers don't render on that boss. Whatever their names are. Theyre keys/map/boss names are so confusing if you arent that interested in farming them its hard to remember their names.

I thought these problems were caused by clearing cache on new league patch but they just arent working.

Its also "not on their radar" about the issue with elder guardians giving you double screens when changing phase most of the time.

When you look through the topics that keep appearing, a very clear pattern emerges, issues with the EU servers, slow loading times, and poor in-game performance, often paired with hardware that isn’t particularly strong. While GGG certainly has its flaws from time to time, the situation here points far more toward hardware and networking as the primary causes.

Since you mentioned having a fairly high-end ROG system, it would be worthwhile to list your full specifications, just as I suggested to the other user. The term “fairly high-end” is extremely broad, ROG hardware spans many tiers, and we still see users who consider nearly decade-old components or low-end six-year-old hardware as “recent” or “good.” Neither other players nor GGG can accurately diagnose performance issues without specific details. Providing your specs is essential for determining whether the issue lies on your end or if something is genuinely wrong on GGG’s side.

Your note about running PoE1 on the lowest settings while running the newer, more demanding PoE2 on medium also raises questions. Given that PoE2 requires significantly more resources, you’d normally expect PoE2 to be on lower settings, not PoE1.

Additionally, for EU players in particular, something as simple as using a VPN can work wonders if routing is the real bottleneck. Many European ISPs have notoriously inconsistent routing paths, and a VPN can help bypass these poor routes entirely, often improving stability, reducing latency spikes, and noticeably improving loading times.

2080, ryzen 5 5600g, sata ssd, 16gb ram.

recommended specs as per pathofexile is:

OS: Windows 10
Processor: Quad core 3.2GHz x64-compatible
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti or ATI Radeon™ RX560
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 40 GB available space
Additional Notes: Solid state storage is recommended

If their game wont load on my pc then i cant imagine what its like on someone with recommended specs.

This is the minimum specs:

OS: Windows 10
Processor: Quad core 2.6GHz x86-compatible
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 650 Ti or ATI Radeon™ HD 7850
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 40 GB available space

Last time i played poe2 i could play it without load screen aids on high. unless i was playing fire titan in abyss. had to lower settings for the screen cancer during abyss league.

If its my pc. Then there's not a single person with minimum specs even able to login.

For reference, around 2021 i used to travel for work for months at a time and leave my gpu out so it wasnt bouncing around in my truck and play poe with a ryzen 3 3200g. With no graphics card just fine.

Ive never had an issue in poe2 hardware related.

Its literally just this league for me. Last league and all before i had 1-3s loading screens

I told that few times but I will repeat myself. I had this issue in this league, loading times like 2x, 3x, Towns Infinite (fastest NVMe possible btw). I played like this for few days of league start, then I changed to Standalone and there was normal, like last league. I deleted shaders from steam version, recompiled few times and there was the same loading times like Standalone version. Something with compiling shaders is broken from long time and you have sometimes shit like this when you loadings are long, or some effects are broken. Just try to recompile this few times. Steam version and standalone have different locations for that, keep in mind.

I play standalone. What is recompiling shaders? how do you delete shaders also.
I bought my son a new PC, his PC is far better than mine;

amd 5 9600x
DDR5 32gb
rx 9070 xt 16gb

Played one game, butter-smooth. Beautiful.

First map the game crashed LMAO.

On my PC, the game works fine, juiced maps lags naturally but does not crashes.
