The vison sucks in POE1 - Normal people play poe also

First you should have listened to Chris he is the GOAT and understood how to make a fun game and the game fun.
I play SC and SC SSF, mainly tanky builds, not Quin but Ben_ style builds. First off if you want people to enjoy the game more PLEASE GET NEW GLASSES ..l.. the vision sucks and adjusting your glasses is Fing us all. I have played this game for tooooo many years. They need new coding for rares and how they can stack mods. There should be some exceptions so some rares can not become stronger than ubers and even unkillable. The fact that any rare in game can one shot not to mention rares stacking together and overlapping each other or becoming unkillable. These things should be fixed and have needed to be fixed for ages. DD in 2025. CLARITY IN SKILLS in 2025. LOOT is gone from the game. The core to the concept is amazing loot drops and the best ones being at random. Should I have to be a streamer and play 10+ hours a day and ignore loved ones and hopelessly sink my soul into what should be for 99% of your player base something to be done for fun when you have downtime or after a long days work. MAYBE now this sounds crazy, can we have some fun if i want to alch and go with random scarabs, I SHOULD FIND something on the ground every session of a few hours 2-3 not 23. Like we used to. The market in game is nutty now days. Thousands of the same items listed for over one to 2 days played time. Please value our time the other 99% and stop making the game about what is shown on clips or how fast Ben can win or how op Jung is on day 3 or what Rue might do. What about Bob who wants a fun evening and cant put in 100 hours the first week of a league Last bumped on Nov 25, 2025, 12:28:07 PM

Rares need to be strong since there is nothing else that can really hurt you in maps. I figure magic packs can be stronger, they used to have bloodlines. Soul eater is the only thing that makes rares too tanky, but thats one mod that can be adjusted. The current system already fixed the old system where a rare could spawn that had +damage modifiers to everything and would be able to dish out oneshots. If you're still getting ''1 shot'' by rares your build lacks defenses or you're applying too much damage increase mods to your maps.
The drops are also more than fine. Its quite easy to run w/e strategy, w/e modifiers to farm stuff. If you want to make currency playing a rather tanky build with less clearspeed then delve is a consistent way and it also has a few big ticket drops with aul's uprising and the more expensive fossils. If you just run maps just alching them without making good use of the atlas skill tree or scarabs then ofc your returns are way less than running a proper tree. |

I dont know about rares but ground loot does indeed suck since this patch (3.27).
The rewarding strategies in this patch dont revolve around killing mobs but tile rewards such as open chests or ultimatums. Sad state for an ARPG. |

There are mechanics which print currency with 0 investment. So if you don't get any - it's either a lack of knowledge or a refusal to use the tools available to you.

Its kind of nice finally seeing the complain about ground loot
It sucking isn't new its been there since settler if you juice you wouldn't have seen it but anyone who like alch and go has a terrible experience since then. I'd say maybe now GGG will work on it but seeing the new content either 3.26 or 3.27 im not hopeful Why am I still here

" wdym loot is fine? any juicing is effectively deleted from poe, and all the best strategies are tile loot farm which can be done in day2 setups, like fortress scarab farm or ultimatum which is ran on white t16s or heist. theres literally no point in upgrading your build, in contrast with leagues like affliction or mercenaries, you have nothing to do in the game if you have great build. 1) new scarab system is just bad. they deleted old scarabs and sextants in necropolis, though necropolis lantern gave even more juice than we had pre-affliction. and in previous league we got giga juice with risks and various strats around them. instead of deleting stupid build-bricking mods like deal no damage, minions have 0% action speed, making casters able to run noregen etc, they decided TO MAKE RISK SCARAB T0 AND NERF MAP MOD MODIFIER... and atrocious mods like deal no damage are still present, its hilarious. 2) 3.27 is the worst league mechanic in poe history as it ruins your juicing, which is already nerfed by 50%+ in patchnotes. pure horror. this league is the worst league of all time. no content, nerfs, 0 patches. poe2 wont affect poe1 development btw |

" 100% agree on what you say, once i was even suggesting making every rare mod weaker the more they stack, for example if one mod gives the rare 100% extra damage and it gets another mod like 100% hp regeneration then both should function at 50% strength. If the mob gets 6-8 mods each mod should work on 1/6- 1/8 effectiveness. Soul eater should be also limited to a few souls and a few seconds to keep them. DD should deal a fixed amount of damage not percentage of mobs HP, there is way too much difference of the HPs of trash mobs and rares/bosses to justify it being a percentage damage, impossible to balance. And very much agree on loot, i think the main reason while we're in such situation is power creeep, while in old poe days we could get "good enough" gear from the ground to play the formal endgame, in today's poe the game expects the player to have perfect gear to even start mapping otherwise you just keep getting owned left and right. And that raises a question if not more: where do i find such gear BEFORE i get to the endgame, and if i just take the easy way and buy everything from the market why should i even keep playing the game, i already have everything i would play for... "I'm programmed to say something that is kind and uplifting at this point, but there is apparently an error that is working in my favor."

imho, poe peaked before maven.
tho i love the atlas tree, after maven, the powerscaling went supersaiyan god of destruction mode. but i recognize ggg made poe into what it is today because its what the majority players wanted. i myself prefer more deliberate games where i have to dance around the enemy. poe2 balbala is the perfect example where i can dance with her, avoiding her hits while whittling down her health. poe1 is balbala in a map with speed mods. all balance considerations are removed as you cant interact with her meaningfully anymore. it just becomes a gearcheck [Removed by Support] Last edited by exsea#1724 on Nov 24, 2025, 4:10:16 AM

" acshually :) PoE peaked on that one patch where Maven was introduced. This is often referred to the golden era patch 3.13 by the PoE veterans. After that followed 3.15 the biggest nerf fest in history and it got worse in 3.19 Lake of Kalandra. I think 3.27 is a another new local low in this timeline. |

I enjoyed 3.15. It wasn't received well, but a nerf fest like that is necesasary every once in a while. Powercreep can really hurt a game in the longrun, see Magic the Gathering. Only commander and investors left in that game. The game is practically a clownfest because of power creep among other things. They can never print less powerful cards, because the sets won't sell as good. It's a wrong way train in only one direction. Be glad the GGG devs did what they did. It was very healthy in the long run.
