Locus of corruption / Doryani institute unusable

Having the same issue on Doryani's Institute trying to use it on an uncorrupted Elemental Hit of the Spectrum 20/20.

Throwing my hat into the ring to say what everyone else is saying--Locus of Corruption isn't working for me either, same error.

same, tried 2 uncorrupted items, tried re-log, item is unusable.
