[3.27 HC] Grey Wind Life Stacking Consecrated Path Totems [Video]

only at 13,4k life myself but build is solid and survivable enough even for players like myself.

You will be able to farm what you need from there to improve it. As you approach 15-17k life, goes from feeling solid to spectacular. Good luck!

Latest experiment is with Dissolution of the flesh. While this is, in many respects, a substantial upgrade, I am not yet ready to add it to the build because I have not yet experimented with it enough to make informed recommendations. I can say that so far, I love the amount of power it adds and I feel like I am adapting to the playstyle reasonably.

For anyone following along, O_Daydream_O is the character that can be viewed on my profile. The experiment includes some different flasks, respeccing champion to gladiator, respeccing some points on the tree to add a Lethal pride, taking a second totem mastery for some additional DR, and dropping determination in favor of haste. A little over 22k total life pool and approx 21M pinnacle boss dps. I may add it to the guide if I feel that my efforts to mitigate the dissolution downsides are enough to make it the right choice. I am optimistic.

Cool build, I planned something similar when volcanic fissure of snaking first came out but never built it. Are there any other skills worth using other than consecrated path?

Yes. Any slam skill can be slotted into this build, so whichever appeals to you that you want to experiment with, I recommend doing that! I saw another creator do something similar with Perforate of duality. I played around with that briefly and think it could also be very interesting and worth trying out.

For myself, my experiment was largely successful, but is now done without getting to fight the ubers. I did manage to get to 100 for the first time ever on this build. I died shortly after that while experimenting with Dissolution of the flesh. Note on that experiment is that while it gives unreal damage (Another 70% more) and a life pool around 22k, it require a very different playstyle than I am used to. I got into a chaotic fight with a T17 boss and died due to piloting error. That said, I absolutely stand bythe build as super solid and fun.

I did try out the build mostly copying your early progress (96 on HC). Was able to do feared but ended up going a different build as I was frustrated with totem tankiness.
Converted to this build to be more tanky. Currently at 14.4k life and trying to optimize further.

There's 1 weird thing I am not sure about why it happens... When I get hit sometimes a portion of my life is reserved (greyed out) and it happened a few times that almost all my life was reserved and I died. Any idea what is causing this?
You don’t stop playing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop playing.

That is how dissolution of the flesh works. recomend reading up on this before using it. I tried it as an experiment on my lvl 100 and also died from not understanding the mechanics well enough.

Thanks! I was just looking at a better one and then I read it :)

Glad to see that consecrated path totems are still alive. My very first build that taught me how to scale damage was STR stacking consecrated path chieftain. Loved it, but didn't ush it too far cause I was kinda newby.

I've been sad ever since they removed earthrbeaker as a gem and giving up boots to do it always felt like a big oppurtunity cost because we cant use replica alberrons anymore. But the grey wind axe gives us another option i guess.

I might try this out with the boots again sometime. I was under the impression that it was a nerf being limited to 5L, but you sad it was kind of a buff in gem strength? Can you explain that?

When they removed it as a gem, they buffed earthbreaker to no longer have a damage penalty which used to start at 19% at lvl 1 dropping off to 0% at lvl 20. The level 25 supplied by the boots actually provides 24% MORE damage in addition to allowing the use of totems. So it is providing the equivalent of two support gems. Arguably more like 1 and 2/3 if one wants to be picky about it, since 24% more isn't quite a full gem's worth. But then, allowing melee slam totems is a bit OP to begin with, so maybe two after all.
