"There is this gray line they have to dodge around because by fixing it the way you're wanting, you're rewarding people for not engaging with the content they have designed around. Voidstones are designed to be mile markers each league that players achieve to enjoy the full end game experience. And being able to buy carries for that stuff trivializes stuff."
I think that you're confusing whether or not they care about the "carry" service, with actual game mechanics working as intended. The game was designed around party play. An actual feature of the game is to play in a party / with friends. Now, for example, take away the "paid carry service" out of the equation and just add the fact that this would have happened while playing with friends in a party. Is it still minimized in this instance? Because this is the problem, the game is not working as intended, and that is an issue. If there was no such thing as paid carries, it would still be happening to people and their friends in the game. That is not okay. It's not working. Now, the game itself (and GGG to be honest) probably doesn't know or can't decipher whether or not it's normal party play, or a paid service. My entire point is that whether it's a paid service, or just having fun with your friends, or helping out a friend, it's not working as intended. Is it possible I encountered a common bug? Maybe. Is it a bug that people seem to encounter frequently over several leagues according to others in the forums? Yes. I think it's worth looking into if something is not working as intended. I totally get your point that they don't care about the "I paid for a service" part, and that's totally fine. Forget about that part, and let's focus on the fact that myself and others are complaining about a part of the game not working. That's what they need to care about. Whether I paid for a service, or am simply playing with friends, it's a waste of time and resources to not get credit in the game for an activity you completed. I appreciate your responses, and especially the keeping it friendly part! Feel free to respond as much as you'd like, and keep in mind I do understand what you're saying about them caring or not caring about the "paid service" part. |
