Ping spikes to 8000-10000 every 2-4 minutes, consistent for the past 12 hours

Game completely unplayable this weekend.
Been stuck in the Ledge in Act 1 for 15+ attempts. Have tried everything but at some point I get spikes up to 10K+ and then DC into the login screen. Here is the pastebin: https://pastebin.com/i3dsj3Gf Hope this helps and the team is able to find a fix for this one. |

For whole weekend game has been borderline unplayable. I had short moment yesterday in the very morning (about 7-8am GMT) where I could play with smaller spikes, but when I go out of town to The Climb, game either gives me 200-300ms spikes every several seconds or just climbs up to 25 seconds and DCs. Tested on two different PCs, on two different clients (standalone and Steam), on two different networks (usual one and hotspot from my mobile) and the result is the same. MTR comes from the usual network and main PC - mobile one seems like it wouldn't help, since everything between my PC and target IP has "no response from host". EDIT: just in case - checked many different gateways as well - most of EU ones, some in NA, even NZ despite the ping. All have the same problem. Last edited by n4zArh#6561 on Nov 2, 2025, 4:54:48 AM

I Also have this same problem, and my WinMTR returned with positive results, i did however find something very curious about this problem, at least for me:
1.Loaded into an Overgrown Tomb Map with about 5ms ping 2.I walked a few steps down and suddenly the ms was rising(5ms→300ms→2000ms) 3.I walked back and it returned to 5ms, walked in a circle a few times to check if stable. 4.Walked to where the ping rose and yeah 2000ms and rising again 5.Walked back and its normal again As if there was a threshold to cross to reach this problem, so i believe is not a connection problem but a map generation problem + my PC, for some reason. i have same issue, i tried switch resolution from 2k to 1080p its started to work waaay better near the breaches

even winmtr seems to suggest the issue is on gg infra side (ran against two instance servers and was getting average 10-15% packet loss on two of the last three hops = ggg's infra (where hops before before were either 0 or 100, which is expected)
putting on my tinfoil hat based on the previous 'incident' few leagues ago with streamers being on separate infra so they don't experience any of this, lads we're officially on the second tier |

Yeah, sadly the game is almost unplayable since Saturday evening. On Friday everything was fine aside from a short period, where I crashed when leaving the first town.
Since yesterday evening I have constant spikes up to 60k ms or higher and then dc after a while. It is the same atm. This is really frustrating. I am new to PoE1 but I remember having these problems from time to time in PoE2 as well, but there they didn't last longer than a couple hours. This is a really bad experience, because I enjoy PoE1 quite a bit so far. Hopefully there will be a solution soon. |
