so.. where are the ES nerfs?

read trough the patch notes, not much changed - Trickster got a 'slight' slap, but ES remains what it is now - THE way to play the game

they even forgot to address the FRoSS, the only relevant change is ES on the amulet going down by some irrelevant number. the entire silly mechanic remains

while killing Volcanic Fissure is kinda expected and fair, not doing anything to ES, INT stacking and 'stacking' bs in general is kinda very bad

they promised going banana on players power and what we good is hardly noticeable

+for the special ascendancies. Gladiator finally gets his 4th point.

They should have just hit exerting across the board, I have a friend who was deleting bosses in like 2 hits on hardcore viable build, and he wasnt even using Vfos, it was earthshatter

Also agree with the rest of what you mentionned.
They went absolutely all-in on player power changes with the introduction of Bloodlines, adding a whole new layer of depth to character optimization, targeted to benefit everyone so, credit where it’s due, they didn’t lie about that part. They also made some adjustments across multiple sections as well.

But maybe it’s time for a wake-up call. If something hasn’t been nerfed, addressed, or even slightly tweaked, maybe, just maybe it’s working exactly as intended. Not every hill needs storming, and not every perceived flaw is a flaw at all. Sometimes, the issue isn’t the balance, it’s the perspective.

And claiming that GGG did nothing this league completely misses the mark. They’ve actually done a surprising amount especially compared to the previous league, and that really underlines the effort they’ve put in this time around. Maybe it’s time to give credit where it’s due.

Gem and ascendancy "balance" changes were extremely underwhelming. Scion is completely forgotten and 99% of "main" gem (6 link) choices will still be ignored in endgame.
yall havent even seen all the bloodline options and are already complaining about lack of changes.

I was really expecting an ES nerf and attribute/charge stacking nerfs (or other strategy buffs!) too.

Hey did you guys notice the big changes to buff self-cast builds in endgame? Ya me neither.

Looks like wand attack or melee league to me, except for FROSS that should still be OK.

Some skills should have been nerfed and others buffed as a baseline regardless of any additional ascendencies, skillgems should be open to consideration for any class/ascendency this is the beauty of the original concept of path of exile, if you have a good idea you can make it work. Which is why I said for example they should have nerfed slam exertion rather than VFOS (didn't play Vfos so not biased)
because slam attacks are far more powerful than strike skills at least from what I have seen on hardcore league.. And the same logic applies to skills that are only OP with a single class/ascendency, it is preferable to look into why and hit that part specifically if needed rather than making the Skill itself garbage when it wasn't even an issue for any other class, as to preserve as much build diversity and viability as possible.

Agreed, ignoring glaring balance issues because "well maybe borrowed power will fix it" is the wrong approach because everyone has access to that borrowed power and it can make a strong (or broken) build even more strong (or more broken).

Self casting needs more than a 10-20% improvement in a spell's given damage. Self casting will still be terrible this patch except for the usual suspects like FROSS, int stacking (rich man's game), CoC with int (rich man's game).

Melee is relatively untouched and there's a big push for wands, so 99% safe bet is go for some form of melee or wands or wand totems.

Given the ones that are announced so far I don't have any hope. You also have to give up ascendancy points for them.

If you play bottom left builds essentially you're playing 3.26 + nerfed vfos.

The rage/adrenaline node could have some psynergy with the heist belt/self curse gloves but i don't really see much else i care about. The way i played that it was with cyclone/rvob anyways and idk if I want to do that again.
