First Start takes forever

I also have the same problem with both POE and POE 2, game is installed in an SSD. I tried uninstalling and also deleting temporary files to no avail

PC Specs: Ryzen 7 5800x3D, RTX 3080 TI, 32DB RAM

I have the same problem with the standalone client.

I tried installing the game through Steam, and now it launches without any problems.

i hgave it on steam and i get this issue.

think it might be the GPU driver update.

i have this problem on both games. i thought it was just me. any fix to this?

The main problem with long loading is loading of drive C!
For me it always loaded at 100%
Besides this, I did quite a lot with the help of AI, but it only helped after that.

I solved this problem - need to delete folders (It's easier to delete them in safe mode) GLCache DXCache, they are located:

C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Local\NVIDIA

The easiest way to do this is in safe mode (To reboot Windows 11 into Safe Mode using MSConfig, press Win + R, type msconfig, and go to the Boot tab. Select Safe boot (choose 'Minimal' or 'Network'), click OK, and restart.

we create a folder on our disk - NVIDIA_Data, there are two more in it -
DXCache GLCache

transfer to our SSD drive (in my case it's drive F)

We transfer these folders to our SSD or M.2 drive.

in the command line under administrator, execute the commands one by one

mklink /J "C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\DXCache" "F:\NVIDIA_Data\DXCache"
mklink /J "C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\GLCache" "F:\NVIDIA_Data\DXCache"
