increase number of slots at currency exchange

+1, would love it increased to 20.

I don't engage it scummy practices, but what I do do, is play for a whole day, then have 1 big selling session with Scarabs, fragments, essences, eldritch currency etc. you name it...

... and quite often, the people that have buy-orders up have big margins compared to what I could get for it on a sell order to those that buy ad-hoc, which is why things don't sell instant, but rather some seconds/minutes, creating a bottleneck, due to the amount of different fragments/scarabs/currency for those 10 slots.

It's not the end of the world, by any means. We'll be fine with 10.
But it'd be a nice QoL for people like myself and possible many others.

Heck, I'd even pay for a 2nd/3rd currency sell tab, albeit I don't think we want to open that pandoras box here :D

sounds like you're merching and not playing the game, 10 is more than fine if you're not merching and gold costs from canceling an order aren't even noticeable ( if you play the game )

The game is explicitly built around a player driven trade economy. Engaging in trade is by definition playing the game.

lol the game is built around smoking monsters for loot, and any other argument is mental gymnastics, you're cooked
On the one hand, I would enjoy to have more slots, but for a different reason.

I mean, not for the fact that someone made a better offer then mine (after all, this is how the market goes, right?), or because I don't want to not lose gold (if is the case, make smaller offers at time).

I would like to have more slots to be able to sell more different itens at once for a reasonable price. I mean, nowadays when I stop to flip my items like currency/essence/frags/scarab/etc for Divs I have to sell them cheap to be able to make room and sell the next item. With more slots I could make more offers at once and maybe price them in a little better ratio for me.

On the other hand, I think more slots might be harmful to GGG and economy.

With a lot of slots, one might use them as storage instead to engage in buying tabs or trade them. For example, at some point I gather more than 20k orbs of each like alch, jew, aug and so on... So I trade them cheap to make room in my currency tabs. If I had more slots, I could easily store like 30k alcs asking 1x1 div and forget that it exist. So, neither I would need to buy more currency tabs nor actually trade them to make room.

The other downside it would be easier to make a lot of different walls of the same currency and therefore controlling artificially even more some currency value.
Exiles, pffff!

many times i put sell at highest offer, but then someone else comes and puts higher offer. if u keep 10 slots, then make canceling orders free if they have no trades. then im fine with 10. because right now, i either have to wait a long time for buyers, or lose massive gold when im out of slots, this is NOT ok.

Lol ofc its okay.

It is YOUR choice to use the currency exchange this way....KNOWING the potential downsides of doing so.

And you complain about the downsides?

That's like complaining about a build where you decide "I want to build without any chaos resistance"......and then come here complaining about dying to chaos damage.

Since Faustus was introduced, I can actually count on ONE HAND the number of times a trade hasn't been completed in less than an hour. More often, less than 15 minutes at most.
Starting anew....with PoE 2
