Ancestral Warrior Totem disappears on weapon swap (does not Snapshot)
Everything wrong with this gem! It need to snapshot like in earlier patch!! AND BUFF IT will your at it need to be a real nuke if it gonna cost 3 endurance charges...

Confirming this is still bugged. Totem despawns on weapon swap even if you swap to the same exact weapon type.

I hope I'm okay bumping this as frequently as I have been...! I'd just love to make sure it gets picked up and fixed soon.
I've heard there's been some other issues with weapon swap, like with Blasphemy, so I wonder if they're related issues. We'll see, I suppose. |

Giving this another lil' bump - the Ancestors demand it...!
But also there's something else I've noticed with the Ancestral Warrior Totem; of course, at the moment weapon swap doesn't work properly - that's the main item of this bug report, obviously, whereby if you have it set to be used in weapon set 2 and swap to weapon set 1, for example, the totem despawns. However, if you have the Ancestral Warrior Totem set to be used in both weapon sets, it 'works', but with new issues. The totem updates its weapon to match whatever weapon set you are currently holding when it attacks, which isn't ideal obviously, but the big problem is that whenever this happens, it makes the game stutter and struggle for a moment (at least in my experience). While the point of this reply is just another bump, I thought I'd voice something else while I was here and see what folks think. Apologies if this is too long and too off-topic, as this is more feedback on the skill itself than a bug report. TLDR; Would you prefer if the Ancestral Warrior Totem cost 2 Endurances Charges instead of 3? Even though we haven't been able to use the Ancestral Warrior Totem properly yet, I've still had it on my hotbar and I pop it now and then, just taking care not to weapon swap while it's active. So far, I've felt like the cost being 3 Endurance Charges is a little steep, considering how in a boss fight there's not as many ways to generate them. There's Magma Barrier, once every 8 seconds. I also use Boneshatter with Enduring Impact II, so that's 3 Endurance Charges on heavy stun; 4 if you take Cranial Impact on the passive tree. I haven't done that yet, though. There's Armour Break III, which is a 20% chance on breaking an enemy's armour, so that's not too reliable for bosses. And there's Perfect Strike with the Perfected Endurance support, which is one charge on successful use. Typically, this means I only really get the chance to summon one Ancestral Warrior Totem on heavy stun, maybe two if I invested properly, if I manage to hit Boneshatter before my Shockwave Totems stun it. I imagine it might feel a lot better with more sources of 'chance to generate an additional charge'. Charge Profusion support, however, can only support skills that inherently generate a charge. So from the above, it can only work on Magma Barrier. There's a node on the passive tree for 10% chance for an extra Endurance Charge, and there's also Guatelitzi's Soul Core of Endurance you can socket into a weapon for 50% chance. If I got that, I'm sure it'd feel better, but even so - at last we arrive at the actual point of this waffle; Do you think it would feel better if the Ancestral Warrior Totem cost 2 Endurance Charges to use instead of 3? |
