Auctionhouse is coming
" Selling it's fine. Buying otoh... |

" Yeah, I sell a lot more than buy, so I kinda completely skipped over what you were talking about, my bad. Yeah, I can see that being annoying. |

" Yes but buyouts are part of auction houses and barely anyone uses the real auction function in most games. Takes too much time. " Depends on update times i guess. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body." Only usable with Ethanol Flasks |

" They said you could change a premium tab into a trade tab for POE2, but you had to do it before the new league. So you should be able to do it now. However, the option isn't there, as the other poster said. |

Smart of them to do this in the beta so they can work out all the kinks. I foresee people raising dozens of accounts and pinging the trade website on cooldown while having max live searches going at all times. No human will be able to snipe most things.

I think it's important to pay attention to the details here. First off, this isn't a full Auction House. It's just a test feature, and while it’s likely to go core because of its convenience, but that’s not guaranteed. More importantly, the new NPC system doesn’t replace the old premium stash tabs as we've seen in the introduction.
Players who want to use the new method, which enables buyouts without face-to-face trades can do so. But those who prefer the traditional method of listing items in regular premium tabs can stick with it. That means everything people could do before, like price fixing, choosing not to trade, or adjusting prices flexibly is still possible. In fact, the new system currently lacks support for decimal pricing, so the old method may even be more flexible for some. " They mentioned that old premium stash tabs acquired beforethe new patch can be converted into the new tabs for free, but they never said it has to be done before the patch goes live. It's funny seeing people act like this is a wonderous new "just developed and needs to be tested" feature.
You know that it has existed for a long time in the Chinese client? You know that it existed (still exists?) on the console versions? |

" Completely irrelevant if you only play a non-chinese pc version. |

" Sure, this feature has existed for years in the Chinese client and console versions, but both have much smaller playerbases, and lack gold costs, which changes balance and player behavior. That’s why GGG isn’t just copy-pasting the exact same feature from those versions but introducing a similar yet distinct system tailored to their intrest. With PoE2’s crossplay and a larger, more diverse playerbase, GGG has a better testing ground to gather data and decide whether to fine-tune, tweak, ditch it entirely, or keep it PoE2-exclusive instead of adding it to PoE1. So relying only on niche versions with little data simply isn’t enough for accurate large-scale testing.
