" Issue with playing trade league is the inflation. As SSF, you're not going to be able to keep up with traders so the conversion feature would basically be unusable shortly after league start. I'd like to be able to use currency conversion in SSF just so I can attempt to craft at a somewhat regular interval which isn't currently possible as the right Omens are annoyingly rare to farm. Add in how much of a gamble crafting is, you'll likely need 20+ different omens to maybe get a good outcome. So as a casual player, it'd be 2-4 days of mapping ritual heavy maps, likely a death here and there due to bad ritual placements, and maybe... I'll get something that is better than what I have. " So you run into the exact same thing as every other player. I have absolute crap luck when it comes to good omens (IE whittling) dropping. I have to sit here and farm maps and sell so-so gear so that I can afford to buy omens from other players at Alva. If they opened up currency trading on SSF, what is stopping people from buying all the cheap ones and reselling at a higher cost? Now, you would be in the exact same boat. Do you think that everyone on SFF is a benevolent player that doesn't want to boost profits? Again, if you want to play with currency trade, play on regular league or regular standard. The only time I really see a lot of inflation is near the end of the season. 97 Blood Mage, 96 Gemling, 95 Deadeye, 93 Invoker, 92 Amazon, 92 Stormweaver, 91 Smith of Kitava

If they could do something like Circle of Fortune in LE for POE2 that would be the dream scenario. What we have now would be ideal for Ruthless SSF mode.

" I assume that if conversions were allowed then it'd be: 1) fixed conversion rate, likely based on drop rate? 2) trade with the system not with players 3) ssf -> trade would need to be blocked or currency cleared If GGG doesn't want casual players and only wants streamers/no lifers then thats fine but having conversions in SSF would allow casual gamers a chance to enjoy a similar end game. The hope would be to allow other players a chance to enjoy late game without dealing with the top 1-10% inflating end game gear. And since trading is already not a thing in SSF, it doesn't matter how flush the characters are with end game gear. Side benefit to GGG is that it gives them a larger end game player base to test end game content with. Last edited by Zyrinj#3688 on Aug 15, 2025, 7:06:20 PM

GGG should just gut trade. Trade has been a crutch that covered for bad design choices. You should play the game, not the auction house.

" 1. So now, instead of adding the currency conversion system to SSF, you want GGG to modify the currency conversion system so that SSF gets their own special version (to combat any sort of inflation). I really don't see that as a viable option. 2. See above 3. See above I don't really get your point about GGG not wanting "casual players". When did SSF become the casual player league? You have every ability to play casual and play "solo" in trade enabled leagues. In the "trade enabled leagues", you can turn off all chat channels, play from your hideout and NEVER talk to or see another person. The difference there is that your other characters have access to your stash and you have the ability to trade/currency convert. ALL of that is COMPLETELY optional. The only argument I have seen that can't be solved by switching to a trade enabled league is that you want a currency conversion with absolutely no inflation. This would require GGG to come up with a special version of currency conversion for SSF that does only trades with NPCs that set the rate and not players. I also see that most people supporting this complain about a lack of exalts. Guess what? With the end of season inflation, exalts have gone DOWN in value (not up). This would mean that you can currently convert for exalts cheaper than you could at the start of the season. 97 Blood Mage, 96 Gemling, 95 Deadeye, 93 Invoker, 92 Amazon, 92 Stormweaver, 91 Smith of Kitava
