Exactly. We need one or the other at least. If you insist on limiting us to three trees at once, at least make it easier to respect all of your nodes when you want to do a new strat.

How often are you guys full respeccing your trees? I'm not against this being added if people want it, doesn't seem to be any downside. If people are full respeccing enough for this to be a problem and the 3 trees are not sufficient, I would think maybe there is an underlying problem with the mechanic.
Going beyond 3 trees is starting to get to the point where you can just have access to what ever set up you want. Perhaps you are suggesting that is what is currently happening anyway, given the current cost of respeccing, that it is worth doing these full resets frequently. An easier endgame atlas respec should lead to more endgame replayability for most players. For example, I have enjoyable boss rush, delirium, and harvest atlas tree setups for my 3. Maybe I have piled up beastiary scarabs and want to try beastiary specialization, but sacrificing one of my current trees (which are usually profitable) feels terrible. That means I won't try beastiary specialization in the atlas.
I'd assume that GGG wants more endgame replayability. There are way too many legacy systems and antiquated design philosophies that felt horrible 25 years ago (Diablo 2) and just feel unbearable now. Identification I'm looking at you. |

I'm not sure an unspec all button is actually exactly what I want. A lot of time the travel nodes are very similar and I'd like to not waste regrets or gold. But I'd happily take it and would definitely be wasteful sometimes and click it if it was there.
What I'd really prefer is a system closer to 2 where I can reallocate points freely without switching between the Refund/Allocate modes. Clicking that button at the top of the post that makes the prices feel tedious to me |

I'm not sure if I want an unspec all button.
That said, I'd like QoL when it comes to the atlas tree as well as passive tree. If I unspec a passive in the start of a cluster, for example, all of the passives ahead should be unspec'd as well. Almost every offline passive and atlas tree, including PoB, has this feature. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! " Just that it takes away any meaningful decision making on how you build the tree and what content you interact with if it is getting respec'd every time you want to change something up. You don't have to put any thought into it, you just clip on the harvest setup and go, then change to another set up for all the other content types. It seems to me more like ordering off a menu than playing an ARPG. Everyone is just playing with the same tree depending on what content they are running at that time. It already works a bit like that, and I can see what is being pointed out in the thread, that it is unnecessarily tedious to do. I'm not sure its a great design having access to everything on the tree at all times for negligible cost at a certain point. How often would you say you guys have full respec'd the tree this season? It probably takes about 1 minute to click the points off, so I'm assuming it is being done a fair bit if it's at the point where people want a QOL fix? I played through to 100 using basically 2 trees, then used the 3rd one when I was completing some of the challenges. Also did a couple of 3/4 respecs within that. You guys are probably playing more optimally than I. I think the 3 trees has been a fairly good implementation, to allow a middle ground between full control without restrictions and being locked into a certain strategy until getting ample currency. I'm not sure having more control, through more unlocked tree's, or people frequently fully changing the tree would be an improvement. Going by this thread, it sounds like the latter is already being done. I'm talking about if that is a good design, rather than if their needs to be a full reset button. Not intending derail the thread. If players are happy with that fair enough. I can understand why people want access to everything without restriction. People want to be able to change the character tree as well without restriction. I think it would take some aspects away from the game. I'm not strongly for or against it though. I just think it takes away some of the decision making, and also that some of the tediousness may be coming from having everything available but needing to change it frequently. " Yeah, it is true that it is adding replay-ability. The last few leagues I have found myself playing basically all content types at some point, rather than being locked into just a few. That is largely a positive thing. Sometimes that is good, and if people are enjoying that rather than repeating the same content that's great. It can also sometimes be that doing everything rather than specializing in a few things takes away from the uniqueness of the pathway. If every league you are going to play all content. For example, if having a strong build requires you to have most the layers of defense, builds then get all similar using all defense types. Rather than unique defenses based on the different defense types or a combination of just a few, and you end up doing a similar thing every time you play the game. This relates to combination and permutations. Poe does a good balance of allowing choices, pivoting, degrees of freedom, while also having there be some friction and hurdles beyond full choice of everything whenever you want it. Usually through an associated cost or downsides. If you have access to everything on the tree, the pathway has less meaning. It doesn't matter the choices you make, if you can change them. It can remove some of the problem solving as well, if you know you can have access to everything, there is no need for planning. I think how they have got the passive tree at the moment is fine, but I don't always think removing hurdles makes a better game. To each their own taste. I'm not here to tell other people how to play or what they enjoy. Last edited by Belegur85#5784 on Aug 4, 2025, 2:34:14 PM

I'd love to be able to wipe it - at full cost of course - with a button click.
Maybe a confirmation windows to prevent expensive accidents. |

"+1. Either a full reset button or two additional pages that you can earn in-game would be very nice. |
