Skill Sound Design in Path of Exile 2

My favorite sound is when the Cruz of nothingness glitches and it sounds like "uh, uh, uh, uh, uh" until I totally log out of the game and back in.
Very nice.

While we are on this topic, check into these SFX please:
- Time of Need swoosh;
- Demon Form Witch, grunting on every spellcast;
- shouting Delwyn.

They are too repetitive and tiring.

Time Of Need
is destroyer of ambience number one.
At town near vendors - it's a catastrophe.
Town is a place where you take rest from battles, sort out your spells and items. And thoughts.
What doesn't contribute to it even a tiny bit - are Time of Need swooshes from few people around, including maybe even myself.
Worth to mention noisy MTX's as well.

Demon Form Witch grunts is not as generic issue of course, but her constant throat noises ultimately render the skill unplayable. Try it yourself, it's too overwhelming.
If Demon Form Witch were to cast some 30 seconds cooldown FUZ-ROH-DAH spell, then sure. Big event, big sfx.
But she grunts on such mundane spells as Ember Fussilade, Fireball etc, things that you spam.

Killer combo happens if you play permanent DF Witch with Time of Need sustain.
Ears are getting ravaged by aforementioned sounds.

Delwyn, well, he is just being obnoxius.
"Don't give up", "Don't let it recover", "Let's finish it"... really?
If wisped monster is fat, I am doomed to listen to this nonsense for quite a bit, minute maybe.
Can't Delwyn be just modest and civil as Eihnar is, and give his comments only on key moments, like when you killed the monster?

And "The Hunt" drum theme. Don't trigger it on meeting Delwyn, come on.
If you think, that this BGM is really nesessary (which it arguably isn't, Abyss in PoE1 doesn't have one, and I am thankful for it), then well, trigger it when encounter actually starts, when I touch wisp and it starts moving.

Otherwise, if I don't want to play wisp, I am bound to listen to these war-drum-horns for the rest of the map. Because that music doesn't end, unless you kill wisped rare monster or wisp disappears.
I have to portal out/in to stop that audio insanity and get back my neat comfortable area-related background music.

So yeah, SFX are imporant, no jokes.

'Birds in Act4' sound a whole lot like the chaos trial birds! one of my fav SFX for how unique and pleasant on the ear it is even tho it sounds like a glitch at first lol. Thanks for sharing this guys.

Edit- I will side with the above poster on the Time of Need being too intrusive. Please adjust.

They mentionned act4 :o hopefully it's getting introduced in 0.3.

As for the "playerbase" aka spoiled tourists, they should play something else while PoE2 is being developped.

Upcoming Plans for Patch 0.2.1 were the last REAL announcement made in this channel. That was over a month ago.

Well in the interview about PoE1 they said 4 months from the last league they would release 0.3...so my guess is sometimes in November.
