Steam validates files every time i open the game

same issue after the patch earlier
Switching Server helps - someone told me spamming "login Button" will help too

I get the same error:
Client.txt looking like this:
"
Async connecting to mil01.login.pathofexile.com:20481
Connected to mil01.login.pathofexile.com in 16ms.
There has been a patch that you need to update to. Please restart Path of Exile.
Marking steam content as corrupt in order to force a recheck of the patch
Abnormal disconnect: An unexpected disconnection occurred.

After closing Steam starts checking files...

After that the loop starts again

same issue.. i can spam the login button and it will start the game but as soon as i restat the game it starts validating again
I have the same issue since evening of 14 July.

Restarted game, restarted steam, restarted the PC. Same error, even though steams downloads some file and validates.

Thanks for your help in advance :)
same here

seems every time I start the game, it starts a 15 minutes "verify gamefiles" first, with no install afterwards, thats the Steam message.

Last time after the verify I got the ingame message "I have to install latest version first, cant play", after login and before I would chose my char,
I then changed then server and then didnt get the message anymore and could play

but currently after exiting the whole game and starting it once more, its verifying everything again (Steam)

Same issue here. Steam is validating files, then game opens with info that I have to restart client to download a patch and then just loads normally. But after closing it all that's mentioned before repeats.
Same issue. I can't play the game. Steam is stuck in an infinite update loop.
push me 2
i read on steam thats milan server issue , switched to frankfurt and issue got solved
yeah I had Milan selected as well...now took Amsterdam and got in 1st try
