Any good Champ starter that utilizes new Fortify stack bonuses (3% armor/Evasion per stack above 20, 3% attack speed above 20 fort)?
Something with 30-35 Fortify stacks?

With Perseverance and Celestial brace?

does The Liege of the Primordial still have 100% inc effect or its just 2golems and golems immune to ele dmg?
Are attack speed stacking melee builds kind of dead now? Was always my favorite way to play melee builds.

Between flask mod nerfs, soul eater caps, removal of skills like alt quality bone shatter, unique nerfs, nerfing sources of increased action speed, directly removing sources of more attack speed (melee totem, Blitz charges), attack speed from rage nerf, etc. it feels like o.g. attack speed stacking is systematically being removed.

I would have thought all the backlash over PoE2 being too slow would have encouraged them to keep things like this in PoE1 at least.

I guess they are waiting for the next patch to put the final nail in the coffin by reworking the accuracy stacking node on juggernaut and hoping no one will notice.
attack speed stacking builds are still a thing, they just nerfed some of the strongest melee skills, although the katabasis nerf was massive overkill. They actually buffed aa speed stacking builds by making fortify champ at least moderately competitive with str stack jugg for hitting quickly. Trauma support is still a thing. Divergent boneshatter getting removed torpedo'd builds with functionally infinite ehp but terrible dps for bossing because you can't just stand still and whale on bosses until the trauma stacks start scaling to absurdity anymore but that happened back in 3.23.
Humm...good point on the fortify champ changes.

Might have to try Celestial Brace + Replica Badge of the Brotherhood Champ this league.

Getting dps for all that damage reduction is giving me mana stacking heirophant vibes, and I like it.

The Flawless Savagery Ascendancy Passive Skill has been replaced with a new Notable, Ancestral Fury, which causes your Strike Skills to also target the previous location they were used.


This change sounds good on paper, except if all you did is take the functionality from the unique ring without modifying it, then its not that great. The ring only works if you literally move every swing or every full cycle of multistrike, making this mainly unappealing outside of lightning strike and smite. If it no longer has a minimum distance required from the player to create the strike effect, and can legit just stack where the player is standing, then its great.

Hello GGG,

I have discovered an engine related issue. In both PoE 1 and 2 there are instances of z-fighting. One of the clearest examples is in Kaom’s dream in one of the waterfall there is a clear example and it is very distracting and buggy looking :(.

The power siphon changes state-

Power Siphon: Now has 90-105% Effectiveness of Added Damage at gem levels 1-20 (previously 140-159%), and now has an Attack Speed of 150% of Base (previously 115%).

Unlike most other attack skills in the patch note this seems to omit effectiveness of base damage, is that by accident or intended, and if it is I just want to verify something. The change means that it does not affect damage gained from your wand, but would affect damage gained through Flame Wall, Added Lightning Damage and Wrath correct?
