Legacy of Phrecia Endgame Specialisation System

sad
no, stop POE 2 will be unplayable compared to POE for at least 5 years. This isn't going to help. You've ruined the copium for this event for players like me that just wanted to try different ascendencies, but have something comfy to fall back on, that being the atlas progression system.. also whats the progression system going to be now? unlocking the relic slots?

Stop it GGG. Give us what works and keep us entertained with POE 1 until you fix POE 2.

Thanks.

The Monkey Paw Curls...

If this is going to replace the endgame for 3.26 it's going to be a massive devastating downgrade. Please don't do it GGG, the current state of endgame is the only thing that keeps me coming back every league since it was introduced.

it's upgrade and not downgrade - current atlas is very generic and limited in ways you can build.

If you go to the 2 mechanic on the right - you are taking many generic stuff like +2 increase for drop/anything

Then you getting slot to specialize in stuff that can be rolled - you can build around less generic and more specialized mechanics/procs.

looking at your characters i can see that you don't understand the game, thus not liking the atlas tree either, but you can be saved still if you learn to play the game a little. None of your characters ever even made it to 95, so your opinion on endgame is invalid.

Judging by his achievements he never killed: Shaper, Chayula, Maven, Atziri. Never completed all maps. Dude has never played the endgame yet has so strong opinion on it lmao.
NOT something I would expect in POE. Usually new features bring completely new dimension to the gameplay or enhance its depth by yet another level of customization. This change is going against the trend - instead of fixed Atlas tree, with trade-offs and strategy planning, we will get idols with randomly generated mods.
My initial feelings are negative on two aspects of this change:
1. Removal of one layer of gameplay customization (altough it could be argued that with fixed number of mods available among active idols players will have to choose what to promote)
2. The ugly side of RNG is that its abuse potential is non-linear: items with all the right t1 mods is much better than t2-t3 and imperfect set; with several such items the difference is semi-god vs meh. With game balanced around what CAN be done (by multi-mirror players), average players are left with sub-par experience
Let's see how it plays out. Please at least set drop rates and mod tiers the way most players could truly explore the system rather that system broken by a few but mediocre impact to most
Should've gone in PoE2 not PoE1.
In a vacuum , it's fine to use this model .
But after like 1 month this system become really tedious for everyone.
It's good to have everything tradable , still a downgrade compare to the normal tree but it's ok .

Just one thing that need to be adress it's the number of modifiers on items .
3 modifiers seem a bit much , when you gonna have an 100-200 of them into your quad tab .
Like sanctum having 2 modifier make it good , Easier to read & faster to know if the item is good or not .
Instead of dumping like 400 relics then checking them later because their modifiers are too long to read & reduce Mapping speed .

To finish , with a little Joke , the UI is calling for Help aka "H" letter right in the middle =)

poe 1 astlas system is a masterpiece don't even understand why opting out of it :s
Nice more poe2 beta testing for us
I am very much looking forward to the new system.
The atlas tree, outside of notables, has more or less been redundant since the scarab reword.
Want to play harvest? Use some harvest scarabs, find/buy a crop rotation relic (or don't) and harvest away. Same goes for other league content.
You lose out on some 'free' rarity and map tiers without the atlas tree, but you can still pick/force any content with scarabs.
Some scarabs were worthless (map contains Niko/Alva/etc) since you could get 100% on the atlas tree.

One of the major changes is that it turns specializing into different leagues to be less deterministic because it relies on you finding items. On the other hand it adds a layer of excitement to item drops in the Endgame not previously there.

This just reads like: "We wanted to try out another layer of RNG for Map progression".

What's next, as new "Passive skill book" with 120 slots that you need to find McGuffins and slot them in as you level instead of spending Passive skill points?
