I thank you for being upfront and honest with us and telling us what was going on, unlike most developers. I also want to thank you for taking responsibility for your actions and attempting to learn from them. We are all human and make mistakes. I for one am okay with waiting as it is growing pains and understand what it takes to run a business as it expands. |

What a failure, so instead of 1 decent game you got poe2 the [Removed by Support] version of poe1 and poe2 a botched game that will go the way of the Dodo sooner than later. Im not supporting you until you get your house in order.

I have no problems waiting but as a late enjoyer of PoE, I really lowkey want a rerun so I can play those old leagues I never get a chance to play before : D

As a long time PoE player who maintains a build and for whom league launches are a highlight, this is an (inevitable) disappointment. Okay, anyone who was watching and listening knew this would happen, but it's still a sad day.
PoE is still the best ever ARPG. PoE 2 is not it, and can't be for a few years *at least*. If you know anything about game dev, you know Jonathan can't possibly keep the promises he is making in regards to PoE 1, genuine though they may be. I think he suspects that too. GGG will have to pick one game or the other eventually, and it's quite clear which one that is going to be. As soon as they announced that PoE 2 was no longer an upgraded PoE 1 but its own game, those of us who understood knew this was going to happen. I'm not mad. I knew the golden age of PoE couldn't last - these things never do - and it was truly glorious to be able to experience it. I knew at the time it wouldn't last and to make the most of it, so I did. It's still a bummer to be here, though. |
