This is unacceptable, sadly. They really have to rethink how this game is going to be played. Because right now it’s clearly unplayable. Tone down the meme density, tweak the effects a bit so they’re not as intrusive and see how it goes. I just don’t know how else they can make it playable.

Thanks for your reports. We are currently investigating issues with performance on all platforms.

Hey GGG just wondering if theres an update on fixing the game to a playable state with the connection, stuttering and frame drop issues. Not gonna lie its been a year since this was posted and its only gotten worse since launch. Really starting to get the feeling this games pretty much done for at this point.
How can the game get this bad over the course of launch and it was bad then but unbelievably bad now. Please god just get it to where you can play it without it being a bloody struggle.

bump
So it's been 16 months since a anyone representing GGG could be bothered to post a reply?
I don't understand how the latency/server issues have not been fixed. I have pretty decent internet and no issues on any other games except this one. My ping will start climbing to 20,000+ at random points.

It really sucks because I bought a copy for myself and my girlfriend but haven't been able to play since 12/2025 due to this issue. Out $60, no way to refund, and no communication from GGG.
Mid-May, and the PS5 loading issues are still not fixed.
1. Every single location loading screen takes 2–3 minutes.
2. Almost every time I open a character menu (inventory/skill tree/quests), a loading screen triggers (spinning gears). When exiting the screen, the gears freeze, making it impossible to do anything. This loading loop can last anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes (!) and occurs nearly every time I open a character window.
3. Missing textures for ground and objects, and invisible monsters.Neither reinstalling the game nor rebuilding the PS5 database helped at all.

I have never encountered a game in such a terrible technical state on the PS5.
"You are right, I am playing Path of Exile 2 on a PS5. While running the Temple in a multiplayer party, I used the strictest loot filter available (Fubgun's), which filters out the vast majority of dropped items. However, it is still incredibly laggy. My frame rate is estimated to be around 10 FPS, and the gameplay looks like a slideshow—it's completely unplayable. I have already turned all my visual effects down to the lowest settings."
