Path of Exile 2 Early Access Pre-Download Information

PC Client installed - game download fails at 126GB with "Error: Failed writing received data to disk/application while downloading... /metadata/monsters/skeletons/ggdh"

The Standalone Client installer has no built-in contingencies for having any problems downloading a file and will hard-crash anytime it has a hang-up, making you start from 0 all over-again. I seriously doubt anyone can use it to successfully download the client until it gets patched xD

BTW:

We previously mentioned that a torrent would be available for pre-download. This was with the intention that the download would still be available if our patching servers had issues from the potentially immense load. We've instead decided to let our patching servers bear the full brunt of the downloads, as it would be better to catch any issues caused by this now so that we can make our servers more resilient for launch.

Because it's one thing more that might go wrong.
Because some people don't want Steam/Epic Launcher running in the background needlessly wasting CPU/RAM.
Because some people want to ensure every penny of their money goes to GGG, rather than Valve/Epic.
Because download speed hardly matters when we can't start playing before 7PM GMT anyway.

Once the Installer is on your C: select the folder, right click, cut and then paste into your desired drive. Launcher will now use the drive you selected to install the game files.

Steam preload is smooth so far.

For those waiting on a torrent, I don't think it's coming.
