Game freezes on loading screen

Disable (NOT Zero Out) your Sound Effects. Other sliders can be left alone.
This requires an INI edit - and cannot be done on Consoles. You may update your GPU drivers to the latest ver.. Please report back if you still experience crashing. It'd be nice to not hard freeze. Just saying. YES I AM INSANE, ZANA! :> Last edited by bvanharjr on Nov 8, 2024, 5:34:41 PM

this really looks like ryzen 5000 series issue i guess. I have 5600x also and it just locks my computer up entirely. cannot do anything other than hard reset

So once again this morning my game just hard locked my PC on a loading screen forcing a power cycle. I've tried every suggestion in this thread including using DDU to roll back my graphics driver to the recommended version, deleting the data found in the "my games" folder. Tried logging into normal settlers league and that instantly locked up. I'm using dx12.
I don't know what else to try but until this is fixed I can't play PoE at all. Ryzen 7 7800x3d 32gb ram nvidia 3070 | |

Might want to Google search 24H2 crashing hangs and incompatibilities with drivers.

I updated my BIOS and haven't had a freeze YET. I only played for 45 min so it could still happen, but but hopefully I'm fine now. Prayge

I have same problem, poe freeze entire system on loading screen when i enter to the map. That freeze corrupt system/gpu driver files, windows work worse after freeze (high input lag/worse sound quality) After windows reinstall everything fine again.

" Just had the same, played for a few hours before it froze. I just tried loading the game again after a reboot and it froze instantly on the first loading screen after selecting character. |
