Suggestion: a kr raid type of boss map that require a team to complete?
I'm curious if a new type of map idea would be interesting for the community.
A raid boss map which you can't do alone but need teammates. However, unlike normal map, this would not have limit of deaths. rather just to do all mechanics cordinated with each other in order to finish. Similar to lost Ark raid boses, just the boss fight instead of all the filler leading up. Lemme know, what you think! Last bumped on Sep 24, 2024, 8:33:33 PM

No. This is not lost ark. And the devs have explicitly stated in the past that they want all content that they make to be doable solo.

This is not lost ark or some sort of low quality semi mmorpg
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. Last edited by Pashid on Sep 23, 2024, 4:29:56 PM

While I'm sure there is an audience for it, it does not fit PoE's theme at all.
|
|
Battle royale was also not a theme. However, it was fun to watch!

" It actually WAS a theme way back in the beginning of the plans for PoE. There is still the PvP arena in Act 3 too. Part of the initial advertising for the game was a PvP component. Raid bosses, however, were explicitly not the goal of the game. It's one of the things that alienated Diablo 4 from diehard Diablo fans. PoE would be making an enormous mistake if they opened that door. |

Been asking for team content for years, when they finally added guild-hideouts i thought it was going to be that time in PoE when we'd see some group content.
Solo oriented content becomes unplayable in a group setting when you're trying to make enough currency to support everyone there's so many crashes and other things standing in the way. Group oriented content wouldn't have to have thousands of monsters, they just need to be tough enough to stand up to a party and offer people opportunity to leverage various builds, status effects and other elements. Idk about most people who play this game lately but i came here to play with others. Innocence forgives you Last edited by SilentSymphony on Sep 23, 2024, 6:15:03 PM

" Most players playing the game want to just slaughter mobs, do their boss fights, delve, heist, craft, blast through sanctum and do whatever else might be on their list. And those wanting to have a raiding blast play different games with the fitting genre. Party play does already exist and it's a viable option if you want to fill specific roles in a dedicated party scenario. But PoE simply lacks the iconic build types for your average raiding experience. But if you expect do play a hack & slay for fancy boss fights and such you might be better off picking up a different game genre. Wow, final fantasy 14 or lost ark just to name a few of the obviously raid focused games and there are more good mmorpgs out there and also on the sooner release list to fill the spot for such content. Forced party content wouldn't already work in Poe as one specific Uber blast build alone would trivialize the aspect and need of party play as those buildings already do 20 times if not even more damage than the average casual Joe's build. Not to mention it would interfere with the SSF community as these players would essentially lack out on this content and probably also the accessibility to loot out of such content. And if there's no loot nobody is really going to bother to run it as there's no real incentive to do so, which is quite easy to see with a different meaningless existing mode aka pvp. And we've seen it in D4 how bad it turns out of a hack&slay tries to be something different. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. Last edited by Pashid on Sep 23, 2024, 8:14:06 PM

I mean we already had farming; ship simulator; table-top; grave diging & many other forms. Why not try group only boses? In retrospect, even sanctum feels like a completly different game within a game.
I guess Throne & libery hype getting to me. I wanna play in the party. However, in this game party play is frowned upon. Perhaps, in general. How come we never have content for party? Don't u ever get lonely running by yourselfs? | |
" It wasn't always this way party play used to be such a huge element of PoE and the etiquette people observed was robust, Party play was an absolute joy back when things were a bit slower and builds were more diverse, You'd basically never see the "my loot your xp" partys we have almost exclusively now but groups of people socializing and sharing information about their builds to work better together, Multiple rarefinders would join a party and then have a heated but swift discussion on who should be the culler for the group and then continue back to mapping with the party and so many more onion layers to the experience that have simply dried up into some kind of alien flower at this point. I will hold out some hope that GGG can return some of that experience back to the game even if its just a mechanic. Innocence forgives you Last edited by SilentSymphony on Sep 23, 2024, 11:47:05 PM
