t17 meta is quite boring?

" Well yeah, "just play a different build" doesn't solve the problems here, it only hurts the build diversity of the game when a few builds can do something and every other build has to struggle in that content. I don't wanna play another build, because I think tanky builds with low dps are boring to play, I like having 250 mil dps. That's how I have fun in this game. Every time I tried a build with "real defences" it was either way too expensive like 400+ divines or it just sucked and had bad clearspeed/aoe and dps. So I'm just gonna play the same one like I always do. | |
T17s just aren't interesting to run. Either you overgear like an insane amount to ignore every possible mod, just buy a carry and ignore them, or play so passively it takes longer than a map should.
There really is no sweet spot of ah, this is fun and engaging or pob spreadsheet simulator. Builds that are tanky enough to ignore the mods aren't fun to map with generally. It isn't just about blasting maps, but just a lot of skills need more items than a truly tanky build has space for. It just takes the action out action role playing game. Like who are they for? Because I really don't know. Rmt shops maybe but whatever. |

My main issue with T17 is that they are too rewarding to skip when farming. Sure, I can farm them easily at this point but I would much much rather just chill and farm T16s. The gap is just waaaay too big. I might make the loot hit sactifice but then there is the gold. Gold in T17s is ridiculous compared to any other activity. I don't feel such a difference between gold in t16 is good for the game. First they should lower the gold a bit in T17. Then increase it slightly for T16. On top of that gold should not be affected by rarity and the most important remove atlas passive effect on gold.
The only thing they achieve by attaching gold amount to atlas passives like map mod effect, packsize and influence is reducing the variety in atlast trees. Excactly the opposite of what the atlas tree should be. Last edited by arknath on Sep 19, 2024, 9:06:06 PM
