[3.28] Rage Vortex of Berserking Flicker Strike Berserker - Tanky map destroyer

"
Hey, Im wondering what is a good way to craft a better wep than soul taker and is there a good way to make the armor itself? Video looked amazing and im feeling like starting the build itself :D

I just crafted this axe for about 60 div, but I got really lucky:

My process (dunno if its the best way):

1. Buy 30% quality Siege Axe (or buy one with a fractured phys mod and skip steps 2 and 3).
2. Spam alterations until you hit T1 %phys or %phys/accuracy hybrid mod. Use regal and exalts to set the axe to 4 mods.
3. Once you get one of those T1 mods, Fracture Orb and hope you hit the Phys mod. If you missed, start over.
4. Spam Deafening Essence of Contempt until you hit the other %phys mod at T1 or T2, depending on your budget, this part can cost 10+ div.
5. Once my prefixes were good, I benchcrafted "Prefixes cannot be changed". If your suffixes are full and you can't add the benchcraft, you'll have to annul for the 50/50 chance of removing a suffix.
6. I used the Harvest Bench to re-roll with Speed modifiers to get attack speed. If you don't hit attack speed here, or a bad tier, pray that you have an open suffix and can start from step 5 again, otherwise you have to annul and pray for the 50/50 that you hit a suffix to try again.
7. If you have an open suffix after hitting attack speed, look to benchcraft chance for double damage.
8. After it's all good, use Tempering orbs to get 8+% phys magnitude increase.

For the armor I just bought well rolled Royal Plates with an open suffix and slammed Redeemer Exalts on them. Make sure the armor doesn't have any other influences on it when you buy it (including eldrich), or you won't be able to slam a Redeemer Exalt on it. If you don't hit the mod you want, the failures may still be worth re-selling for a profit.

Hey, thanks for the guide!

What do you think of this build in comparison to slayer? Tankiness, speed, damage, flexibility (especially in terms of "can do xx map mods")?

Berserker really takes advantage of the rage stuff, and all its ascendancy nodes grant huge buffs to damage when you're building around rage.

I haven't tried a slayer version, but it probably wouldn't use RVoB, which is pretty much the point for this flavor of flicker.

The only map mods the berserker build truly cannot do is "monsters cant be leeched from" and "reflects physical damage".
How do you think this would go in SSF?

Thinking about trying this in bro-SSF. Maybe transition from earthshatter slammer into it, once I get a redeemer chest.
The build is mostly rares, so I imagine it could still handle t16's quite easily with decent rares. I wouldn't trust this build to survive hardcore SSF though, even in trade.

Finding a good axe may be tough, and I'm guessing it would start as a clusterless version, losing the timeless jewel kinda sucks also.

Before the Redeemer mod on the chest you could use the mark mastery that gives a chance to gain frenzy charges on hitting a marked target.

Svalinn isn't necessary really, I've hit 100 on this build with a rare shield. Belt slot is very flexible too.

I'm sure there are other pain points for SSF, but I can't think of many.

Hey there,

just wanted to thank you for the great build. Sold my GC Miner after 4 stones and started to get your build going. Really plays well and fun, havent played flicker in ages and never with RVoB.

Is there any threshold you would consider for farming full 15/15 Simus? I spend basically all my currency and the build performs really well in maps, but I guess not dying to simu bosses 12 and onwards seems kinda hard without svallin?

Tried to follow your lvl95 day 3 PoB to create my char:

Besides levling, svallin, some quality and multistrike - any further tips&tricks? Cheers and gl!

Yeah Svalinn does make a big difference in late Simulacrum, going to 80/80 block is huge. I created the build during Settlers league when Svalinn was dirt cheap, so its a bit misleading now how cheaply the build can handle simu's without some pain.

I see you're missing about 4 life nodes, getting those can help you survive those oneshots from the deli bosses as well. Also quality on life gain on hit can push it to 54 life per hit.

Trying to cap ailment immunity with a flask can be a bit inconsistent as well. Progenesis also helps a ton in simu, but that's also crazy expensive and I don't even have one myself this league.

I'm mostly not dying in simulacrums this league, but sometimes there's always that one wave that can be just extra stacked to wreck you.

You also don't really need Brine King pantheon once you have ailment immunity. I'd switch to Lunaris instead.

Ideally high end rare axes are going to perform much better than Soul Taker, as those can go up to 800+ dps vs soul takers 540ish. That's also another expensive leap though, as nobody makes good one handed axes and you pretty much have to craft it yourself. Being able to kill stuff in the simu faster is another form of defense in itself. I'm still using a Soul taker myself this league, as I'm chasing an echoing shine belt, which just makes flicker and leap slam insanely fast.

That's about all I have, I haven't been touching simulacrums that much this league because mirage is so crazy as well.

Really appreciate the feedback.
I guess I will need a few days for svalinn since its about 75 div atm. But then again some nice league goals to get svalinn, multistrike and maybe echo belt in the end.

Thanks again for the feedback!
Can confirm, echo belt is amazing, as expected. Worth losing all of the flasks. I'm just using worm flasks now to have my RVOB already spinning before an uber boss it hittable.

I'm toying with trying to use the extra ring ascendancy now, but I'll have to find another jewel socket and use one of the Zerker flesh and flames to get a node back, because it would feel terrible to lose ANY of the zerker nodes IMO.
Ok, started your build aaaaaand...

...by the lords that is fun!

Extremaly durable even without Svallin!

Thats what i came up with:

https://poe.ninja/poe1/pob/89dac

Still some places to improve, Svallin for example, but it allows mi to do some crazy 5XUnstabble breach;beyond;enshrouded astrolabe maps like it's nothing.

Simulacrum 15/15 is a bit tougher as watching what Kosis is actually doing is close to impossible so might die once or at worst twice.

Anyway, amazing build. Great job!

EDIT: My first char i managed to reach 100lvl. All thanks to your amazing build, thanks!
