Quitting the league :/

i was asking him a genuine question, wasnt suggesting that he lied, although what he said is kinda hard to believe. none the less my post didnt warrant a nasty attack from you. cool it. you do this in so many threads and they let you get away with it for some reason. talk to the person who quoted me separately and leave me out of it.

No dont try to play victim here and backpedal, your continued pattern of thinking everything t17 is unfair and loot being terrible contributed to this response. As seen here in this small compilation:

1) Whining about t17's as they are the only thing "viable" according to you

everything has been nerfed. only thing viable is t17's and even with those you need to follow what the streamers do if you want to profit.

2) Agreeing loot is nerfed everywhere

maybe because its true?

3) Cant get your story straight on divines and exalts and previous leagues. Lying about their drop rate as well. Their drop rate hasn't changed at all by the way. As well as accusing me of not being around for the swap, when you can, again literally look that up easily.

Spoiler

i meant exalts since back then those were the trading currency not divines. exalts dropped in the campaign. there,

"

back in the day we would get 1-2 divines just in the campaign.

4) This... extreme view on loot in kalandra versus now.
Spoiler
"

loot feels even worse than it did in kalandra.
i also have 0 divine drops and i'm almost finished with the 500 map boss challenge. thats 500 mostly t16 maps with altars

Taking your post pattern in context with the question you asked...

You asked about t17 farming to dismiss his wealth, to again, push your t17 hatred dimension you post ad nauseam all over the forums, and I provided the evidence to the contrary.

If you truly were asking out of curiosity, then support me from the previous user who is Blatantly doing this in confirmation of his post. And ill edit it, for now it stays, as this is how 99.9999% of people will interpret your question to the person you are responding to.

You cant get mad that I disprove assumptions you make with basic data available if you just look at their profile. You dont need to ask this question in the first place

Guys, please don't fight in the forums, there's no point.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, your opinions does not make other people's opinions invalid.

My opinion about this league's gold mechanic is still valid for me with my current game availability and game knowledge.

I don't like mechanics where you have to physically sacrifice other aspects of the game such as leveling new characters just to grind gold.

I do believe that if it goes core, and a couple of leagues into the future it wont matter that much to me, but because it is a new mechanic I want to spend my time doing the new content.

To me every new league always revolve mostly about the new content and less other content. However when you have less time at your hands than other players and the new content makes you sacrifice what time you have available just to maintain an idle contents it does not feel like its working very well.

To answer your question.

Q: "When were "we" led to believe this, exactly? Who assured us that there would be an abundance of gold for even casual players? Because I watched the league reveal and the entire Q & A"

A: We were given many teaser videos before the league started.
In which one of the videos used the word "abundance" aswell as showing their kingsmarch with millions of gold.

I'm however having a hard time finding this teaser video again, but I assure you it was teased this way, other people finding this post may confirm, and they might also hopefully provide the video.

As far as this sentence goes "I have exactly zero interest in playing any game where the optimal farming strategy is to make 10 additional accounts and just idle my way to a mageblood."

A: I've not even considered this could happen, so I do understand your concerns.

However in the current state, the mechanic takes too much away from the rest of the game for casual players meaning they either have to focus on this one game mechanic and scrap everything else, or scrap this mechanic in its entirety apart from currency exchange.

Thanks for your reply @ARealLifeCaribbeanPirate

North of 4 Million gold was shown in the inventory of the character used in the original stream. This is a true statement regarding that specific detail and the conclusions drawn thereafter.

I'm a very basic poe play in a sense that this is my first league im actually doing mapping and shit, i dont feel the gold mechanic to be too grindy, like at the start maybe but now? i get like 10k-20k gold per map run, maybe 5 to 10 mins per map you can get shit ton of gold easily, make sure you upgrade miners as soon as you can as it increases the amount of gold you get

my guy, I have 2 kids and a wife, a job, etc, I can play in the evenings and sometimes in the early morning after driving my kid to the daycare... play 2-3hs a day, more on weekends, started league almost a week later, got 2 MB's and HH, the league is extremely rewarding, no need to complain, gold is in abundance in maps, just like they said, if I go into 8-mod farming session, I easily get 15-18k gold per map, I spent 2-3min in a map, I easily get like ~300k gold in an hour, which is enough for keeping kingsmarch goin for over 24hs

and besides you don't have to run mappers, to make serious currency with kingsmarch you only need high level farmers and shippers, the rest can be lower level to consume less gold

just curious, what strat did you do for 2-3 hours a day that gives you 2 MB and a HH? is it t17 maps?

I don't do T17 maps, I dropped one MB on the ground in jungle valley and another from nameless seer, I like to farm harvest in 8-mod jungle valleys

I find myself in a difficult position, and I hope my concerns do not come across as whiny complaints.

Allow me to provide some context. I work approximately 9-10 hours each day. When I return home, I am occupied with preparing dinner, cleaning, and attending to other daily responsibilities. After completing these tasks, I typically have about three hours in the evening to spend in front of the computer, assuming I'm lucky.

I have progressed to the endgame, having defeated all the bosses and completed Tier 17 maps. I have not yet attempted "uber bossing," I have been looking forward to doing activities like delving, heist, and, most importantly, sanctums.

However, I am encountering significant frustration with the gold grind associated with the Kingsmarch mechanic, which is currently in a rather poor state. It is nearly impossible to meet the gold demands of Kingsmarch, and while I understand that I could simply avoid the league mechanic, it is the new feature, and naturally, I am eager to engage with it.

At its core, Kingsmarch feels akin to a "Daily Login Reward" mobile game, where one must log in each day to claim a reward, except in this case, you must grind out the gold. I find this approach highly dissatisfying. At the endgame, it seems reasonable that completing a single map should yield enough gold to sustain all workers for 2-3 hours, regardless of their tiers.

We were led to believe that Kingsmarch would function as an "Idle Mechanic," but it is anything but idle, given the relentless daily gold grind. Additionally, we were assured that there would be an abundance of gold available upon reaching the endgame and playing casually. Regrettably, this has not been the case.

My current "Game Day" consists of spending an hour leveling a new character for Sanctum and another 1-2 hours grinding gold for the so-called "idle" portion of the game.

I apologize if this seems like a "Cry Thread". I only wish I had more hours in the day to fully enjoy the game without feeling burdened by 1 mechanic not allowing you to do other mechanics.

All what im going to say is you don't need the highest ranked worker. if I don't know you can sustain by playing and only using level 5 its fine. You will make less but it will allow you to play how you want. You can argue outside map mechanic not helping the league mechanic feel bad but it was always like that. Its not new.
Why am I still here
The OP is right though, they always mislead us with league reveal videos like this. They showed us a bunch of currency in the shipping, not telling us that you'd need to wait for days to get that result, not telling us that you'd need to grind like crazy for gold. The vibe I got from the reveal livestream was "oh so gold will just passively stack up from just playing the game, I'll have millions if I just do a few hundred maps and complete my atlas". No, I was always short on gold and had to use scarabs and do 8-mod maps to sustain the town for 24 hours lol, so we were lied to about gold completely. A league isn't fun if it feels like a chore to even be able to interact with the mechanic, because that's what gold farming is. A chore.
Yeah i get that name of the company might be misleading...

Oh wait. No. Its says plain straight. GRINDING Gear Games.
