GAME CRASHES AND FREEZES SINCE 3.25, THE GAME IS NOW UNPLAYABLE

Yea there is something wrong with the on load shader i believe that sometimes cause the PC to hard-lock on loading to town, for me personally the game would launch normally you can login click your character and then enter, you see the loading screen and cogs spinning then you would hear the game sounds and then it just hard-lock, you can still move your mouse but you can't alt tab or even open task manager you are just forced to reset the PC with the button.

However this doesn't happen all the time sometimes the game would not hard-lock on loading and you can play normally, i tried removing the overclocking setting for CPU but didn't really help, removing the shader cache sometimes helps when it locks too many times on loading that's why i believe it related to the shader loading.

Iam on Nvidia Driver 556.12 for reference

Exactly the same thing happens to me. Some days I am unable to play properly, and some days I am unable to play at all.

I hope a fix for this will come out soon..
Crashes and freezes for me too,
Game just shutdown with no error and have to open it again.
it is happening for me to, screen freezes up shaders going trough the roof
not cpu not gpu but shaders when going ultimatum,blight or big cluster fo mobs somethime in town when someon go with flashy mtx

This is exactly what's happening for me too.
Doesn't matter which rendering engine i pick, or how high or low my gfx settings are.

I'm also on 24h2 and the latest Nvidia drivers (also happened on older drivers)

Unfortunately, GGG seems pretty silent regarding the crashes, so i'm not gonna invest more time (or money) in POE for now.
Same happening here, lots of random crashes, porting into map crash, first pack of monsters on screen crash, player coming to my HO for trade crash when he spawns, some days nothing and others few per hour
The same thing is happening here. I even replaced my CPU with a new one (Ryzen 7700) and the crashes still happen.

What I noticed is that when a crash happens on a map, that map becomes almost unplayable. After re-entering the map, I literally walk forward and the game crashes again.
edit, well the problem is back in full force after someday, im now desperate


Nvidia control panel, manage 3d setting, program setting, add poe, go bottom and find vulkan/openGL, select prefer layered on dxgi swapchain, apply.



13900k with 4070ti on dx12, was crashing on 50% of loading in kurai shore or king until today some1 posted this fix and it been working for me. I can finally enjoy this league, hope it work for you.

Updated from Win 11 23H2 to 24H2 last night, nonstop crashes in PoE. had to do rollback.
Fix for me was to completly delete My documents POE folder (My documents/my games/path of exile). No crashes since, one downside is that you need to config whole game from start. Didnt copied any files in case crashes were caused from them.
