Old version having 2 bonuses in 1 may be OP if you build around it to utilize both at once, but why remove one instead of split it to 2 new auras, one for attacks, one for spells? More disgusting is the fact that GGG decided not to talk about this serious nerf in the trailer itself, but they told us what kind of exciting support packs they had prepared.

It's 8% DPS loss for my phys to cold conversion exsang. The nerfs were reasonable.

Exsanguinate is a physical spell that shoots out blood tendrils in a cone that deal physical damage and deal physical damage over time on hit, which can stack up to three times. Tendrils can be supported by chain modifiers to hit more enemies.

edit: and for cold it is not just less dps, it affects ability to freeze overtuned rare mobs and some bosses, which impacts defense too.


Blame the deadeye bow builds with 700% movespeed and a ton of damage.

This is the treatment melee has been getting for a while, nerfing something because of 1 thing and it nerfs everything else too.
They should also reduce any spell damage by 50% so you truly embrace the melee league!
The problem here is you are considering only the hatred aura drop, not what you can get back doing other things with the build that don't require you to get aura effect or spend points.

how long have you spent in pob trying to adjust your build?
Hatred was way too strong, now it's going to be more in line with Wrath and Anger - the other elemental damage auras. It also had insanely strong watchers eye modifiers. 2% base crit chance is very hard to get from other sources. Even bottled faith does not provide base crit anymore, it used to cap at 2% too.

Since almost every endgame build uses watcher's eye they had to take this into consideration. It has the strongest watchers mods so the aura itself is going to be a little weaker.

Oh, and no more smurfing with eldrith battery and divine blessing.
