Insane Latency Spikes and Game Crashes
" Thank you for the explanation, I did contacted my ISP and now I think it was resolved by them. Thanks for the response.
I have had this issue for a few months, and it is now FIXED!
I have tried a lot of different things, but what did the trick for me was flushing my DNS and clearing my TEMP folder. I followed parts of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvI3O6_lcjA Hope it works for someone else!
Tried to flush & clear the temp
GG..G edit: waited for 15-20mins and it goes back to fine.. ty GGG... Last edited by GaNj4 on Oct 1, 2024, 12:33:48 PM

For the "infinte latency" problem, I've found a bandaid fix.
If your latency keeps ramping to 10k+, try suspending and resuming poe.exe in resource-monitor (within taskmanager). Workes fine for me. To save mouseclicks, I installed PsSuspend and wrote a short cmd-script. Both steps have to be run with admin rights. Install PsSuspend via cmd:
Spoiler
winget install "Sysinternals Suite"
Script/command line to suspend/resume poe (you have to change to the right process name!)
Spoiler
PsList -d PathOfExileSteam|find/i "suspend" && PsSuspend -r PathOfExileSteam || PsSuspend PathOfExileSteam

Folks, since a couple of days i am with you in that lagwagon. Since latest windows and amd drivers update that is. But after crashcourse of switch off and on both in game and in my pc, i've found something that mitigates a problem slightly. When i switched networking mode to lockstep from auto, the problem occured far less often, and when it did occur, it was more managable. Lower,shorter, less often lagspikes. kinda, KINDA playable, at least i am not forced to restart the game.
Edit: and i guess i got a lucky streak. Problem persist. Hard. Last edited by HatreT on Nov 4, 2024, 2:45:26 PM
