[3.25] Minion Instability Autobomber - Stone Golem League Starter


Introduction
This is my take on a minion instability autobomber build! The build revolves around automatically exploding and re-summoning golems!

Pros & Cons

+ Strong mapper
+ Autobomber with explosions!
+ League start viable
+ High damage uptime
+ No mana issues
+ Can run all map modifiers
+ No temporary league power is used in any of the showcases (see tab for league specific suggestions)


- Damage is delayed
- Slow trigger rate (especially early)
- Not HC viable (at least without changes)

Settlers of Kalguur League Specific

For runes I recommend either increased minion damage, "Your Minions spread Burning Ground on Death, dealing 10% of their maximum Life as Fire Damage per second" (especially once you get Mageblood) or Haunted by Tormented Spirits. Recombinators make it much easier to craft the rares and Kalandra Jewelry (specifically Gloam Rings) allows us to reduce minion elemental resistances and increase their damage taken.

We deal damage using Minion Instability, which explodes our minions when they drop below 50% health and deals 33% of their health as fire damage. To reliably trigger Minion Instability, we need a way to damage our minions. We use Infernal Legion, which deals fire damage to our minions. We increase the damage it does to our minions by equipping Maligaro's Lens and giving it to our minions with Necromantic Aegis on league start before eventually swapping to a Kalandra Gloam Ring socketed in the left ring slot, so we can get a good minion shield and free up some passive points.

Re-summoning Golems

We use stone golems (and eventually spectres too) for minion instability, since they have significantly more health than other minions. Then we can take Liege of the Primordial to automatically re-summon our stone golems 4 seconds after they die. By increasing our maximum number golems, we can automatically summon more than one golem a second!

Spectres and Animate Guardian

Since we scale so much minion life and block chance, we can use powerful support Spectres (until we get Dark Marionettes) and an Animate Guardian! Quite a few options for spectres, but I recommend getting wild bristle matron, pale seraphim and ruins hellion. Together, these minions debuff enemies with 40% reduced action speed, 15% increased damage taken, 30% reduced damage dealt and taunt them. Once you get Summon Spectres to level 25 (+ levels to minion gems + level 21 gem) and get a fourth spectre, I recommend They of Tull which occasionally create a field granting chance to avoid damage. For the animate guardian on league start I recommend Leer Cast or Eye of Malice as the helmet, Dying Breath as the weapon and then use gloves, boots and body armour to cap resists. Eventually we can upgrade it with Kingmaker and Dopplegänger's Guise.

Leveling and Transition

Leveling with Summon Raging Spirit until first lab where we take Liege of the Primordial and get Stone Golem of the Hordes(should only be a few chaos at most). At this point you can level with build proper, though I recommend continuing to use Summon Raging Spirits on single target for a few more acts. Try and get Maligaro's Lens too and eventually the other recommended items.

Upgrades

Upgrades (loosely ordered)
1. Drop the extra small passives and get a minion damage large cluster jewel (ideally 8 passive with Raze and Pillage, Feasting Fiends and Call to the Slaughter)
2. Get 2x 4/5 passive minion life medium cluster jewel with Dread March and Life from Death (or Hulking Corpses)
3. Swap Vitality for Flesh and Stone (Stone Stance)
4. Get a 2 passive small armour cluster jewel with Enduring Composure
5. Get level 21 Stone Golem of the Hordes and level 21 Raise Spectre (0% Quality)
6. Get 3/4 (depending on gem level) Dark Marionettes (preferably at least one Perfect) and link Raise Spectre in the same links as the golems
7. Get a better minion wand (+ level of minion/all skill gems, minion damage, minion critical strike chance/multiplier) with crafted trigger socketed gems when you use a skill
8. Allocate Eldritch Battery and start swapping the pathing to the endgame tree (https://pobb.in/_0AOBfBKY5CI)
9. Socket Desecrate and Spirit Offering in wand along with one curse
10. Get gloves with high life and resistances and good eldritch implicits (fire exposure + minion damage)
11. Equip a Kalandra Gloam Ring in the left ring slot with "minions have -# to all elemental resistances" (along with other good modifiers)
12. Swap to a good minion shield (+ levels to minion skill gems, life, minion life, minion damage, minion critical strike chance etc.)
13. Get 3x Primordial Might and an Anima Stone
14. Get boots with high life, movement speed and resistances along with eldritch implicits(brittle ground and increased armour from gloves and helmet)
15. Get a +2 level of all minion gems helmet and craft trigger socketed skills when you focus (socket curses here and drop Arcanist Brand)
16. Socket Energized Armour in the jewel socket near The Agnostic
17. Catalyze Replica Siegebreaker(elemental)
18. Upgrade rares (not body armour/amulet) to have chaos resistance + damage/luxury mods (consider using anoint to cap chaos resistance)
19. Get a 6-link The Fourth Vow and a Glorious Vanity dedicated to Xibaqa, allocate Divine Flesh and the helmet eldritch implicit that gives #% of physical damage taken as chaos
20. Get 21/20 gems
21. Drop the passives around the templar start and get a second 8 passive minion damage large cluster jewel with Raze and Pillage, Feasting Fiends and Vicious Bite
22. Get 2x 4/5 passive minion life medium cluster jewel with Dread March and Life from Death (or Hulking Corpses)
23. Get a Defiance of Destiny
24. Upgrade Animate Guardian's weapon to Kingmaker, body armour to Döppleganger's Guise and helmet to one with the Glimpse of Chaos implict nearby enemies have malediction (not on a glimpse of chaos though and make sure the Animate Guardian's resistances are still capped)
25. Corruption hunt on all the uniques
26. Upgrade rares (especially wand and shield) and get high tier eldritch implicits on armour
27. 21/23 gems (no quality on Raise Spectre)
28. Mageblood
29. Drop Divine Flesh and The Fourth Vow for a Brass Dome (ideally corrupted with +2 level to minion gems) and use a Topaz, a Ruby and a Sapphire flask to reach 90% maximum elemental resistances.
30. Drop Energized Armour for Mindless Aggression Forbidden Flesh and Flame
31. Unallocate Sanctum of Thought and Faith and Steel for Barbarism, Stamina and a Jewel Socket
32. Get a Elegant Restraint commemorated to Caspiro with as many easily accessible notables converted to minions have 80% increased damage/life as possible
33. Allocate Supreme Ostentation and tattoo all small passives skill points
34. Cap spell suppression by by getting it on Glove, Boots, Helmet and Shield (recombination to preserve minion bases) and anoint Inveterate and use a Quartz Flask

Significantly better single target dps and tankier, especially with investment. Vengeance ignite has faster clear though (still has fast clear, just not to the extreme of vengeance ignite).

In the upgrade section there are quite a few different jewel options

Is there an order to remove/change them over due to the lack of jewel sockets for the number of jewels listed?

Yep, just remove the rare jewels and replace them with the unique jewels as you can afford them.

Yep, should be good. I'd look to add Dark Marionettes spectres late though (either running both or just Dark Marionettes depending on its numbers).
Loving this build, but I feel like I am hitting a wall as I try and push into Red Maps. My biggest concern is, how the heck am I supposed to be keeping my Animate Guardian alive? Feels like if the map is even slightly difficult, it just vanishes.

I equip it with:
Dopplganger
Leer Cast
Southbound Soldier Gloves
Ele/chaos res/life boots

I also tend to just go "poof" a lot of the time. Ive been stuck at level 89 cause I'm dying so often. Am I doing something wrong?

For animate guardian, you really need it supported by elemental army (otherwise it isn't resist capped). For survivablity, I'd try and either get a source of endurance charges (anointing inexorable is an easy way to get them) and then spend one point for an endurance charge on the tree or go divine flesh and overcap chaos resistance. Max res on shield is also a good option!
