Im trying to change the email on my account for some days now, and im with GGG in emails (ofc some team members) and they are asking for to many personal information.

Yes it is from support@grindinggear.com but it feels to suspicious to ask me for 3 days now for information i feel i shouldnt give to anyone.

I mean i do understand poe is a huge game and they need to be anti-scam/theft proof....but its getting very wierd and out of hand with all the information needed that is personal dangerous to share.

Can someone confirm this ? any admin pls ?

oh wait. now i understand why u dont say it. ok. but pls lets do this...its 3 days now or 4 just to change 1 email, i gave everything in the emails with support.

exactly as i said. sending me on wild goose chases in places i cant get any answers from...the worry of saftey of me doint anything to my own account, while its obvious im on it on the site and in game, after giving so much personal info for 3 days, its intentionally made to not get any results.

i do understand the concerc for saftey, but trying to make me do things that take weeks or are impossible to do, is exactly time wasting tactics....why would i waste my time with emails and forum posts, if i would want to do anything bad to my account ?

absolutley anyone in the multivers, if wanting to do something hacky / stealy / bady to any one's account, they will never contact the staff / devs and stay with them so much time, just to change an email....an outcome that would have absolutly no change watsoever to the fact that i could have done anything by now and said nothing and now one would have notice...

all i want to do is change the email cause i dont use the old one any more and ill never use it again, i just kept it alive for poe while i was working and couldnt play.

this is ridiculous and a time wasting wild goose chase that would do nothing to protect the account that would have been stolen or hacked by now without anyone knowing. simple.

I just checked my old messages with staff on site...i forgot my password once....and you can see after i got it back, i still didnt play and do nothing to the account...just kept it alive.

this is why i will never change my email here...i dont have the patience to email back and forth for weeks. the process shouldn't be this difficult

It's not difficult, it's time consuming but secure.

The process should be difficult because it's the #1 thing they confirm your identity by.
Anyone saying otherwise should probably read up on a few things, just in order to not stick out too much in 2024.

come on GGG, bring in 2-factor authentication. make the process easier.
