[3.26] Herald of Agernaut - Perfect first build - Tanky AF and 7/7 Uber Down
" Champion is very doable as well. You'd wanna consider picking up the extra 2 endurance charge duration nodes then because getting body armour endurance charge implicit below 14 seconds can be very expensive (30-40chaos per roll with Grand Eldritch Ember {13 seconds) as opposed to 1-2chaos per roll wtih Lesser {15seconds} or Greater Eldritch Ember{14 seconds}). Also early on (before body armor end. charge implicit) you'd wanna pick up a small armor cluster with enduring composure to keep end. charges up. Dunno... I prefer Jugg. I like its straightforwardness. Untiring regen is huge quality of life (gives 200 more regen than what you'd get with Fortification node Steadfast and 26 fort)... armor comes super easy thanks to 2x Body Armoour (gives 10k more for me than new Unstoppable Hero %more armor change) and Unbreakable has great synergy with Divine Flesh. Also I get intimidate anyway from Gloves implicit. Also +1 endurance charge to Jugg and Unrelenting working against all damage not just Hits... I just think Jugg is the way personally. The only thing I really, REALLY like about Champ is the Fortification... I saw in the 3.26 patch notes Fortify Ascendancy is being changed to give you Max Fortification instead of 15. Default is 20 + you can get 6 close-by on the tree. There's some tech with Lethal Pride timeless jewel too but I checked it and it's not worth the point cost to get extra +8 Fortification that way. So 26 Fortification as Champ... not too shabby... Unstoppable change 18% more armour/evasion... then you'd take First to strike, last to fall for adrenaline and Worthy Foe which no longer requires Conquerer. Those are my thoughts. Thanks for bringing it to my attention though. Whs interesting to consider. Best of luck. "The key to winning any fight is simply staying alive." When you like some HoA-Jugg optimizations, stack more virulences for 143M damage in still infinitive tankyness and 88% resis and 100% spell suppression etc:

How do you deal with ailments like chill, ignite and shock?
|
![]() |
" The best way to deal with ailments is to use the unique jewel Stormshroud. Then it's simply a matter of stacking 100% chance to avoid being shocked to give you 100% avoidance to freeze, chill, ignite, scorch, shock, sap and brittle. However Stormshroud can be quite expensive early on (2-4 Divines) so another way to deal with ailments is to take Soul of the Brine King in Pantheon to get 100% chance to avoid being frozen, and buy 4 ghastly jewels with at least 40% chance to avoid ignite/shock (Usually less than 5chaos cost) then anoint the amulet with the Crystal Skin Notable for 20% chance to avoid Elemental ailments. This way you have 100% to avoid freeze, shock and ignite aka the major ailments. Brine King pantheon also comes with 50% reduced effect of chill so there's that too. Hope this helps best of luck. do you have an item filter you like for this build?
|
![]() |
" I been updating an old Hellcat5 filter for years. It's pretty rough but it suits me fine. I have a very basic knowledge about Lootfilters and thus while my filters work they're very bare bones and might not show some poggies things I'm unaware of. Use at your own Risk! Lootfilter: https://pastebin.com/VVM51Aiz Lootfilter Strict: https://pastebin.com/BqNUJRMw Honestly I'd recommend sticking with the man NeverSink though. https://www.pathofexile.com/item-filter/ladder/follower Best of luck "The key to winning any fight is simply staying alive." may i know why did you use convoking wand for the mercenary, does minion damage matter?
|
![]() |
" Minion damage does not matter. I picked this up off trade cos at the time it had the highest APS (attacks per second) with % chance for fire exposure on hit and an open craft slot for % chance to blind on hit. The higher the APS the better because our Mercs shield and its measly 5% chance to give frenzy charge to allies on hit. I found this setup MOSTLY kept me at 3 frenzy charges vs single target Bosses but if you can find higher APS wand go for it! "The key to winning any fight is simply staying alive."
