Constant crashing in towns since 3.22 update

Today is 3.23 Release

Didn't have any Problems in previous leagues (also played 3.22 without problems)

Played until Lvl9 - switched cosmetics in town - crashed.
Crash every time i log into that char.
Other old chars work fine.

created a new char - played until town - crashed

game crashes any time i log into 1 of these two accounts instantly after loading screen

tried the settings from above
- Disable Shader Pre-Caching in Steam.
- Clear Steam's Download Cache.
- Disable Dynamic Resolution in Path of Exile.
- Disable Dynamic Culling in Path of Exile.
- Disable Engine Multi-Threading in Path of Exile.

Same, works fine until town then crash every time i reload.

Same. It started out crashing when I came back to town via a waypoint, but now I can't even play the game at all. Every time I try, it crashes when it tries to load the first town. Bummer!

I just popped into 3.23 and crashed when I entered town. Tried again, crashed again. After that I deleted the content of the cache folder and I could just enter the town. Maybe that helps, worth a try.

I kept trying and finally made it past town and out into the world. Whatever the issue is, it's definitely intermittent.

Same problem. I have about 42 minutes of played for this league with about 10 minutes of that being actual gameplay and the other 30 minutes are login attempts.

I've spent a day and a half trying all kinds of things without success. I guess I just won't play this game and move on at this point.

Town and league mechanic causes a eventual crash after 60-120 seconds without fail. How does something like that (on this entire range of specs and machines) go by unnoticed and unaddressed?
