Hey thank you for writing the guide, I got pretty far with this build and got my devouring diadem
The only confusing thing is how we are gonna get our chests. I noticed that based on your link we can buy a pretty cheap chest for 90 chaos orbs. However, to 6 link with the right colors could cost us up to 2-3 divines just getting it right from regular crafting, I am not sure if that was what the goal was when investing in the chest or if there were other cheap methods to get the chest that we want.

What is the 90 chaos orbs chest that you are referring to?
If you are referring to the +4 corrupted implicits chest, the goal is to get +4 gem levels on CF and Vortex for a fraction of the price of Skin of the Lords.
The price of Skin of the Lords goes down over the course of the league though, so the price gap isn't as much as at the beginning of the league. I just checked the market, you can get a Skin of the Lords with the right colours for under 15d. During the first week, such a chest could cost 30d or more.

But then we would have to spend about... 350 jeweller orbs + 350 vaal orbs then about 1500 fusing + 1500 vaal orbs then to spend about 300~ chromatic orbs + 300~ vaal orbs to get the right socket colors and right amount of fusing. I was wondering if that was what you expected players to do rather than just invest in the Skin of the Lords with the right socket colors for 7-10 divines.
Just wanted to double check before I go in a rabbit hole, you mentioned in the guide it is cheap but chaos crafting is also a pretty steep investment.
I think as mentioned from what you said, it seems more advantageous to just wait for the league and buy the chest later down the line or when I can afford it.

i got this chest for 5 divines. it was already 6 linked. i just had to change the colors which didnt cost much at all
a good skin of the lords is still 15+ divines. the ones for 7-10 divine have bad mod on them like avatar of fire for example.

that's a pretty good chest, yeah I figured I should just spend a bit more and buy a premade 6 link rather than setting myself up to set up the 6-link and proper socket colors from something cheaper.

You are forgetting about tainted currency. I bought my chest corrupted w/ 1 socket and did the following:
Benched 4 sockets with jewellers and vaal
Used tainted jewllers to get to 6 socket, repeat previous step if needed
Benched 4 or 5 link with fusing and vaal
Tainted fusing to 6 link, repeat previous step if needed
Tainted chromatic or bench to hit colors
You could even force the off colors needed on the chest while it is 2-4 sockets which may be easier/more efficient depending on the base.
All in all with not abysmal rng this method should be much more affordable than what you are expecting with other methods.
I ended up with this chest for under 3ish div on day 2 with this character, and I could have done it for less if my first couple tainted fusings hit.

yes, you are supposed to buy corrupted chests with the implicit you want, and 6L it using tainted fusings (after benching it to 4L), as the above poster mentioned.
OP has a video guide from last league where we taught/discussed about this as alternatives to SOTLords.
How you guys get resists capped with all those uniques on pob? im drunk or missing something
In PoB, in the configuration tab, they have added a bunch of resistances as custom modifiers (also dex and str in some of it at least). They are meant to be provided by the non-unique items, jewels, tattoos, etc.
