[3.22] Gryph's Immortal Cremation - Boss Killer+Simulacrum+Blight Ravaged Farmer

Will be following your updates whether it be Necro or some other Ascendancy - I think this build is still worth a shot despite the nerfs.

What I actually think will hurt quite a bit is the divine orb nerf - getting the quality % gems mod to be as high as possible is probably gonna cost quite a bit.

Same here, I'm sure I'm not able to find the best answer myself, but hopefully Gryph will put together 1 or several options. I fully trust Gryph's analysis, but in 3.18, even the version without Ashes made me quite happy, that I was able to do simu 30 with 4, sometimes 5 rewards. I enjoy the tankiness of this build and am looking forward to some variations!
Is there anything I can refer for league starting/leveling?

For necro, I assume DD will be underwhelming. I’m not sure where normal cremation can get us to. But Gryph is probably working on some other variation so we may not start with necro anyway. The damage taken as fire version sounds very innovative. Suppression version may be super tanky too?

Don't try to league start it. Play something that you can use to farm and develop your atlas. Farm soemthing you liek to save up for the gems and basic gear needs and then roll it. like, farm heists for example.
But seriously, why not DD?

What has been changed that this build is no longer viable?

My plan is to play exclusively blighted maps and then asap blighted ravaged maps.

Ravaged maps have 250% increased monsters health, which means corpses of magic/rare mobs start chain reactions and oneshot bosses which have like 20m or more hp.

I plan to start wtih DD and swap to cremation asap, since community says build is shit now, gems should be super cheap, so the only thing to get asap early is ashes and we should be good.

Here's how my non crit version cleared ravaged maps with teal oil (harder version) and 0 support oils. This is the most juiced ravaged setup one can run and the built did it even better than a 2mirror wardloop.

I just have not played blighted maps with DD as I jumped right into unearth. So to summarize my post, I just need to verify if anything really happened to DD in terms of clearing maps/mobs ? Or just bossing dmg has been nerfed which I completely don't care about?

I wonder how much DD is nerfed to, corpse nerf and bug fix probably is quite bad right? Like 50% damage? However, I don’t agree with your prediction about item price. I think a lot of phantasmal cremation were produced by lens, not really from natural drop. It probably will be cheaper due to demand but there are still people playing, and fewer people will be using lens to make it, so it won’t be super cheap.

To me, the main reason I want to keep playing this build is that it’s tankier than RF at a 50ex price range. I plan to not use melding.
Tytykiller released a video, leveling to 80 under 6 hours using cremation: https://youtu.be/IJagSDoh8jY

He’s only running white maps though.

Cremation as a skill has always been good for getting through campaign.

It's a different build though. Phantasmal Cremation is a very specific setup. I am specifically saying that Phantasmal Cremation is not something you can league start with. You can farm for it and respec into it of course and do so in any way you see fit. :)

As for DD, not only did it lose the spectre life, but it lost *base* damage on Vaal DD. 9% of corpse life down to 7.9% (we'll say 8% for a 21 skill level) and also Phantasmal Unearth was nerfed a bit as well.

I haven't personally looked at the actual numbers, but it's not looking too good to me. That said, DD Ignite will still be good for mapping because you can use the enemy corpses for damage which is relatively unchanged. Where's it's going to struggle is on map bosses and chunky rares. You may want to do the Elementalist version for the big damage boosts.
i tried to change up the PoB for going Scion, basically you lose Necro QoL and you gain not that much, maybe 5 passive points, the damage (Average hit) could stay the same with going necro and getting Elementalist on Forbidden jewels (or vice versa), but you'd still lose a lot of cast speed, which if i remember correctly u need to have at least 5 casts per second, having inquisitor or trickster as a bonus isn't worth it i guess.

But i was thinking about grabbing Whispers of Doom on tree for 3 points (not bad IMO) and getting Heart of Destruction on Forbidden jewels. with the 50% increased buff duration. it's 30% More elemental damage for 6 Seconds Every 8 seconds. sounds pretty good to me. and that 2sec u have 60% more AoE, not too bad i suppose.
any ideas?

Malediction is, imo, much better. 3 passives saved for +1 curse is a lot on this build given how point starved it can be. Malediction also causes enemies to take 10% increased damage and deal 10% reduced damage. I see no need to take Heart of Destruction instead. I'd much prefer to swap between Profane Bloom for explosions and Malediction for Bossing.

As for Scion, you lose some QoL, yes, but getting 5 casts per second on Unearth is not hard considering it starts with 3.33 casts per second with 0 cast speed. Which means you only need 50% cast speed to reach it.
Onslaught=20%
3 Frenzies=12%
Flask suffix=17% or with Mageblood, 33%
Rings can roll 16%

It's not hard :P

Now, I'm not saying Scion is the superior option, but it is a LOT more competitive now that Necro is nerfed.
