Read my mind. Grabbed a level 5 chaos damage earlier and I'll be scoping out a 21 Hexblast / Divergent Hexblast if I ever see one. Really pleased with the jewels I got today as well.

Hi! Having lots of fun with this build so far!
A couple of questions:

1 : Is there any use of having igninte over 100% ?

2 : Also does spelldamage do nothing for this build?

3 : Also are damage over time multiplier the same as fire damage over time multiplier? i see you can get both mods on a weapon :)

4 : Is elemental damage a better implicit than spell damage on weapon for this build?

Speaking of lvl 21 gems, you wouldn't happen to know why lvl 21 hexblast is so much more expensive than other lvl 21 gems? Even super meta stuff like seismic trap or summon skeletons is only 15c, but hexblast is 2ex+, and there are almost none of them on the market. Seems like maybe they aren't dropping from places that usually drop lvl 21 gems.

1. no, chance to ignite is capped at 100%, anything over is wasted.

2. Indeed, spell damage only affect the base hit, which deals negligible damage.

3. "Damage over time" and "fire damage over time multiplier" are different mods, which both increase damage separately and multiplicatively with each other. DOT Multiplier is much less common, so it is usually a MUCH bigger damage boost per 1% of the stat.

4. Yes, since spell damage does nothing. Elemental damage on sceptres is nice, cast speed on wands is always welcome, spell damage is whatever.

I don't know, but it indeed seems bugged. Last league, literally no one had a divergent hexblast listed for 2 whole weeks.
I do think hexblast isn't in all gem rewards pool, there is absolutely no reason for a 21/0 hexblast gem to be worth anything past a few days.


Picked these up today for 2ex, felt like a steal. Very happy with them. Just deciding now if I should stop Anamolous Inc AOE in the blasphemy+despair setup for vitality. I'm liking the increased range during clear.
Can't put T2-1 fire dot on my wand, even with so many reforge fire;

anyway finished the base for the shield.

The gear is almost done, once I finished crafting everything, I'll convert:

Does tier 1 added fire damage to spells beat tier 1 added lightning damage to spells?





Which is better?

The first wand has 10% more fire damage multiplier.

Hey. What is better 21/20 hexblast gem or 20/20 divergent hexblast gem?
A little tip: If you are low on chaos res, you can buy an Impossible Escape with Ghost Dance and allocate points for One with evil, it also gives +1 max chaos res.
