It's a variation of the EA/TR bows that Brunowa seems to be using on his pob.
So i tried to see how i could make it.

Pre-steps : i was able to make a decent crucible tree out of the trees i stored with crucible mechanics. Wasnt able to save the third nod for 32 fire unfortunately. The +1 gems and lifetap support seemed the most important (that's a 7 link bow with +1)

Step 1 : thicket bow base, spamming shrieking essence of dread.
Guarantees +2, and looking for T1 attack speed (got best T2 roll on my bow, decided to try it.
Gamble annul other prefix/suffix on the bow till I hit ONLY +2 and attack speed remaining. If not, back to essences and so on.

Step 2 : From there, benchcrafting "can have up to 3 crafted mods for 2 div, and then adding no attack mod for 1 div.

This way the bow has our 2 mods from step 1, and 3 suffix.

Step 3 : slam exalt.
Since there's the 'cannot roll attack modifiers', adding a modifier to the item can only give +1 to gems.

Step 4 : Remove crafted mods on benchcraft.
At this point, the bow has +2 +1 and the attack speed mod.

Step 5 : Again 2 div for "can have up to 3 crafted modifiers" then add fire damage over time multiplier + fire damage as extra chaos damage, all from the benchcraft

(then, 6 socket recipe*, 6 link recipe, hillock for 24+ quality (you want at least 24 quality) and harvest craft 1 attack speed per 8 quality.

Note : i avoided use of chromas by going 1 socket by one on the bow, starting from 2 red socket, +1 -1 until 3 red, then again for 4 red, then made the 6 link, which granted 2 green socket (most favorable odd since it's a dex item).

Total cost of the steps :
- From a few to several hundred essences (1c each), cause the last annul on step 1 only works 1/3 time so you'll have to start again several times unless lucky, and you rarely only have one affix to annul... That's why I settled for T2 attack speed (also knowing i had as in my crucible tree).
- several annuls (1-15 in my case)
- 5 divines
- 1 exalt
- a few c for the final mods.

(crafted ele dmg since i need to put points to skill effect duration to cap anyway even if i craft atack speed. So i ve choose more dps.)

Hi guys. long time EA player here :) Why doesn't the 3.21 POB Ignite DPS numbers change when you switch passives/equipment? its just always stuck at 35791394.0 ...
You cant get more than 35 million DPS on any Explosive arrow (or any DoT or skill).
A few posts back its explained.

The game caps out at MAXINT (2,147,483,647) damage per minute from DOTs, which is 35,791,394 DPS. It literally doesn't handle anything above that.

I wonder though if you can do say 35M with EA DoT and then spam another skill that does no DoT damage, will they add because they are different skills or damage types?
Or is 35M the hard cap you can do to any monster in the game at a given time from combined different skills or even multiple players?

that's the limit, u even got warning in POB.
Cant do more with DoT.

Yeah but can you can do additional damage with other skills?
35M from EA DoT and say you use gloves with poison for additional poison damage.
Maybe that was a bad example as poison also is a DoT but Chaos DoT type, but other skills with other damage types then.
Or is the Total, all total damage capped at 35M or just the Fire DoT damage (or all DoT damage type)?

35M should be enough for everything but it would be nice to know how the mecanics work.

U can use other Hit skills, but as we stack dot dmg/multi - u will not get any significant DPS from it.

How about totem explosions from crucible ? :D
And add some more totem life.

I guess its something like minion instabillity you mean, for totems, where when they die they explode doing % of their max life as damage.
It could potentially be good as one take totem nodes anyway.
If you hit the 35M cap i wonder if its needed, but killing really tough rare/uniques faster is allways good.
We have a bit of extra elemental damage modifiers.
Hi guys! First time EA player here

I finally managed to combine the crucible nodes I wanted and crafted a bow. Was hoping for Farsight or another notable/attackspeed on T2 but the accuracy was a nice QOL, and it took me a lot of effort to get Lifetap + Fire Multi already :)

Also managed to craft the Blizzard crown but was too poor to elevate the mods before doing so, and I might have messed up by going Burning Damage instead of faster ignites but it has the EA enchant + decent rolls so i doesnt seem worth to reroll this.





Im sitting around 12M to 15M DPS so im wondering what my next steps should be? I still get randomly one shot while mapping, what i can do to increase my damage/surviability or am I missing something obvious?

- Upgrade Amulet to +1
- (?) Upgrade my ring
- Quality bow to 28% and change quality to attack speed
- Swap in Empower once i get levels on it and level my awakened gems to 5
- Switch to cluster jewel set up with -Mana res + Enlighten to run more auras? (Currently running Grace Precision Haste, but i can swap in Purity of Elements and Malevolence)
- Watchers Eye/Unnatural Instinct/Impossible Escape?

I havent prioritized having armor due to the Molten shell changes so maybe i can swap in Lightning Coil for more survivablity, but this will drop Spell Suppression to 90%

Unless you can 1-phase bosses(and this build can't, at least not on mid-budget) - there is no point going all-in on damage. If you are dead - you are not dealing damage. And the build is squishy enough as it is.

Thanks for the feedback! I guess i need to focus a bit more on defenses. I did have Defiance Banner initially but swapped it out for Haste to see how it felt for mapping. I dont have that much armor on my gear currently so i thought scaling armor with aura wont be that effective, but i will try it out
