3.23 EXPLOSIVE ARROW BALLISTA ELEMENTALIST - League-Start to End-Game. Easy mode.

" I think OP was showing the +1/+2 corruption on chest, and it's probably quite valuable. It's mostly defensive auras that we're stacking on chest, so it's not going to be as expensive compared to builds going with hatred/wrath stacking. IMO, listing it at 70d is fair. Good luck!
i saw some steamer take out rain of splinters for big boss fights...is that necessary or no?
|
|
" It's not really necessary but it depends on how comfortable you are with your DPS in with it in. If you want to push more DPS.. or attack speed.. or anything else rain of splinters is an easy jewel to take out and swap with something else. Eventually, you'll probably reach a point where you don't use Rain of Splinters at all, even for mapping. Last edited by brunowa on Jan 21, 2023, 2:48:23 AM

Earlier on, someone was asking about playing without anointing Hired Killer, especially when it came to sustaining during simulacra. Life Flasks are enough to carry this burden, but thinking about life sustain got me thinking about how to make mapping even smoother.
Outside of bossing, this unique ring performs very well. It gives "Recover (3-5)% of Life on Kill", which exceeds the recovery portion of Hired Killer. Apart from that, it grants us "Gain Adrenaline for (1-3) seconds on kill". Adrenaline is a very strong buff, giving us: > 100% increased Damage > 25% increased Attack, Cast, and Movement Speed > 10% additional Physical Damage Reduction Being on an amethyst ring base, it also gives us up to 23% chaos resistance by default. While mapping, it provides enough recovery to almost completely ignore our life flasks. Death Rush works seamlessly when running Blood Rage -- the degen from the latter is fixed from the constant recovery on kill, and we're constantly kept at maximum frenzy charges. It's quite the chore to aim and fire frenzy every 10 seconds (frenzy has enormous value of 4% attack speed, and 4% MORE damage per charge), so having this combination reduces our mapping to a 2-button affair (EA and Flame Dash). The defensive aspect of Adrenaline is no pushover either. Let's first look at Armour -- stacking this defensive stat has always been one of the key aspects of toughness in POE. In fact, we constantly chase the benefits of Physical Damage Reduction from Armour, aiming for the cap of 90% PDR. This is because Armour is most effective against smaller hits and doesn't mitigate DoTs, while PDR is effective even against bigger hits (those that we dread the most) and bleeds. A 10% PDR is very generous (considering how Endurance Charges gives 4% of this each), and is a welcome source of toughness given how Death Rush has no Life mods. I'd recommend giving this ring a try if your current gear has enough to cap resistances. In our pool of ~(600 - 800)% increased damage, 100% increased from Adrenaline is significant. 25% increased attack speed is also incredibly generous. Just remember to keep your ring for bossing within reach when switching over to invitations.
" Not a bad option if you can give up the other stats your ring provides (eg flammability, resis, life, accuracy, etc).. but you'd want to make sure you have these covered first. For life recovery, I would recommend these flasks instead of Hired Killer: Cinderswallow is simply amazing with those stats.. 3% of life per second, AND 3% of life when you kill an enemy. You can run Blood Rage as an aura so you don't need to use Frenzy at all and cinderswallow offsets any degen. The magic flask is just to show you can simply craft life regen onto your flask.. really good if you are using mageblood + running Blood Rage aura. Bottled Faith is another good option, particularly when bossing, to help with life recovery. And don't forget Enduring Cry... this is simply amazing for a "Free life flask" + other benefits. Hired Killer is an interesting one. I know a lot of people go for it... personally, I have never used it and I actually do not recommend it as the points used to get there are simply too much and can be better spent elsewhere, particularly when you use one or more of the above options. " Enduring Cry is really useful if you have a spare gem slot. Also, we can add keystones to our sanctified relic with invocations, so it's a good idea to allocate Call to Arms if you choose to go with Enduring Cry (trade link here). How do people set up their key bindings?
Specifically how do you bind frenzy? I'm reading that binding Molten Shell to left-click is the way to go. Is frenzy bound to its own button or am i missing something? thanks. Current Build: Level 100 Elementalist EA Totem
