You can always try it out and see how it feels. With high cast speed, it feels amazing, but not quite as good when you're slow.

Also, there's the issue of mana-sustain, and Spell Echo helps with that a little vs other gems.

I am about done with the league, wanted to give a last update. I got the build on the softcore ladder before it closed (I have 1500 life more than the second-highest Crackling Lance player on the ladder, lol). I also was able to beat Maven's Invitation: The Feared as a final goal (though it took three tries, which was two fewer than Uber Elder).

Thanks for making the build guide, it was very useful for making Crackling Lance into a usable skill. I'd rate it mechanically pretty low on my hierarchy of skills I've played before, but that never stopped me from taking a build as far as I can. Hope you're doing well!

Basically running this build for my first playthrough, and I'm not too sure about gem slots to prioritise as I level or if it doesn't actually matter. Just been given a reward option of all the golems, hydrosphere, frost shield or sigil of power and I'm totally stumped for what I actually need.

Good day. Gonna start sentinel league with your build, but on hc. Any advises, maybe some hc variation of build with sacrificing some dps for big defences like block + staff variation?

If i want to do it do i just do the exact build for CL but before mapping i just change the gem ? And the most important is it worth ?

That's what I've been doing all league, pretty much. Only need CL for stuff like Maven/Uber Elder/Sirus, though.

It involved changing 3 gems, and 1-3 respec points (for +1 Intensify, possibly Shock Effect / Mana nodes since CL has less Shock than Arc and more mana cost). And of course one jewel for Apex Mode.

Easiest Sirus and Maven I've done by the end, at 12-13m CL DPS that was consistent.

Stuff I swap for CL:

I'm no expert on HC, but I imagine going max block and recover life/es on block is a good pathway. However, it would cost you a LOT of DPS, and while clearing / bossing you shouldn't be in any real risk if you Freeze well enough.

The defences fall off where you just can't Freeze, and pure DPS is how I overcame that.

Hi a new time thanks for answering, what do you think about the enki's arc build ? I don't know what to do either i only play arc with the enki's build or i play arc with your build and i can swap with CL for some bosses, but i don't really know what are the differences between your arc and enki's one. Seems like yours is more on crit and enki's more on omniscience or somethings, yours does 5m dps but there's the CL that does 10m while the enki's does 6m ( on pob ). What are your thoughts ?
