why do we not just use 6 link wave of convction over brands? in pob, swapping over the wave into brand's 6 link looks pretty convincing dps increase wise

Gear section of guide has been updated to reflect my current gear.
After several days of playing the build, I've made revisions from testing. The following sections have been updated accordingly:

- Path of Building
- Gem Setups
- Bandits/Ascendancy/Pantheon
- Gear

Thank you so much for following up the guide and making it so detailed even after league has started. Also for following up with the chat and responding to our questions.

One thing that confuses me in the updated guide is, why do we take "Soul of Shakari" + Immunity to Poison to the Mana flask, since we have Unaffected by Poison on boots?
Adopted the 80% chance to avoid stun boots and saved 12 points in the passive tree.

Also looked into the 27/10 PoB changes.

1. I feel like the Staff mastery that recovers 2% of life on block isn't doing much. With or without it, survivability stays the same (atleast after testing it for something like 10 maps). Woudn't the entire Carrion passive cluster (next to EO) be better for sustain purposes, alongside a Flammability on hit ring? (4% life when you kill a cursed enemy + 2% regen when hitting a cursed enemy, basically all the time). Most stats on the Steelwod Stance cluster are wasted, anyway (we're already capped on attack block).

This would be done, obviously, mainly for mapping, as the life on block will certainly be better on bossing.

2. I don't know if I'll ever stop using Herald of Ash. :( The MTX is too pretty. A well rolled Circle of Anguish could maybe make it worth using over a 50% aura, but those are worries for the future.

I really like this suggestion! I think that would be much better sustain.

The problem with Herald is it doesn't give us much dmg as Malevolence. Maybe with a Circle it'd be viable.

Hello, playing this build since the start (with some changes) however currently i'm struggling with t14+ maps. I'm literally get one-shot from any source (bosses, scourge, even trash on the map sometimes). I've swapped a lot of damage for defences: got belly of the beast, stacked some armor on rares, got basalt and rumi, also switched from shock to aegis in ascendancy. Nothing changes. Can't even stop to cast Flame Surge

My current equip:

Any advices so far? Ideally i'd like to have some damage to not dance around bosses for 10 minutes while they are slowly dying but not sure if i'll be able to cast something at all.

damage isnt really the issue. not sure what sort of defenses are needed to be able to take on stuff in higher corruptions without 1 shots.

4864 life
266 energy shield
2175 Primal Aegis(ele absorb)
9766 armour(69% phys absorb with chaos golem out)
enduring cry on cooldown
Steelskin with increased duration on cwdt gem
377 life regen per second
+all the tree life gains on ignite and such, plus occasional smoke cloud on kill from cluster gems


you still gonna get 1 shot if there is any amount of %extra damage from monsters from the map attributes once you hit 100+ corruption.

thats been my struggle today. i have a lot of damage from swapping to cluster jewels but even though i feel like I 'should' be tanky,i am not haha.
