Profane Bloom only trigger explode on death if enemies have curse on it, and plague bearer does not hit you are correct.

My suggestion is to use blasphemy with despair since it would reduce more chaos resis. Temp chain level does not affact our dps, it only affact how slow mobs are so I would suggest put it as curse on hit with gloves if you want.

Feels like I got jebaited by the "league start" in the title. While it was really easy to squeeze through acts, I had no luck in currency drops, so I only managed to get 3.5k HP + 1k ES. Not enough to live through white maps, lol. But the skill itself feels so good, I will return to this char after earning more currency.


I did this league start and havent seen a single exalt yet but I'm doing red maps w/ ease and I'm only at ~4k life + 1.5k ES. That's about 1k more than you, but you may be missing something defensive if you're having trouble w/ white maps as I've only recently gotten my hp up to this level.
Thanks for your reply and tips. did it like that. despair with blasphemy and temp chains on hit. at some point impresence will be nice. but unfortunately for me this is also the worst league start regarding drops. nevertheless enjoying this build - there is so much potential.
After switching some of my stuff around because I felt a little squishy and needed to get my dual curses working this is what I did and it was a cheap fix.

I have been using temp chains gloves and a Witchfire brew to cast my curses so I can save my mana reservation for Grace/Precision/Malevolence.

"Grace has 25% mana reservation efficiency" If you grab it from evasion mastery.

And I also grabbed the reservation mastery wheel with 15% mana res efficiency.

If you str is enough, then use max level cwdt, steelskin

Otherwise use lv1 with lv3
So, I managed to finally get this build going. Fast and evasive. It's a glass cannon and map clearer, not a bosser and will probably never be able to carry über content and maven in the current state. I am hovering at 93, could go higher if I grind less dangerous content. 10ex in, lucky to get a few raw ex drops already and 2 enlighten gems.

I solved almost all mana issues and now have permanently:

Malevolence
Grace
Precision (arrogance)
Temp chains (blasphemy no reservation)
Despair (on hit ring)
Herald of agony
Aspect of the spider
Shapers presence (mostly a buff since we hardly get hit anyway)


Malevolence - grace - enlighten 3 (in a 30% increased efficiency shield, with grace 25% decrease from tree)

Precision- arrogance - withering step - flame dash

Aspect of the spider - plague bearer - increased aoe (in fenumous + 2 aoe gems)

Temp chains, no reservation amulet with shapers presence buff

Herald of agony - cwdt - immortal call - enlighten 2

Despair 32% on hit ring

The PC setup as listed in the beginning in dendrobe.

So far:
24k evasion, capped res, 80% increased movement speed, 4.5k life, 1.1k shield.

Mapping and scourge is a blaze, melting corrupted 16 red maps and their bosses in explosions. Sitting at 120ish free mana so I have to constantly chugg mana bottles.

The denser the content, the better cause it keeps PB high and the explosion train going.

Simulacrum: easy until wave 20, impossible after that
Blight: easy, have not tried more than 3 oils but entire chains of monsters explode
Logbooks:easy and like with map mods we can take almost any remnants. We don't have to care about reflection of any type. Only chaos immune is to skip
Metamorphs: surprisingly easy most of the time, I figure it's because the main morph takes loads of damage from exploding smaller ones near it.
10 times maven invite: manageable but you will die most likely once or twice if yellow
Shaper and Elder guardians: manageable if not maven infused, even in yellow maps. You will most likely die if maven infused once or twice.
Uber-über lab: dangerous, the build needs tweeking for that.
Scourge maps: you need the right mods, it cannot take phys hits over 3k and even then it's suicide.

Avoid: crit chance and multi of monsters if you can, you will die if something big hits you once.

Turboboost for flask management was instilling the dying sun with "use when hitting a rare or unique" and the onslaught next to it with "use when adjacent flask is used". I usually don't have to cast those manually and the build really takes off once this injection pops. Could be higher dps if other enchants but more micro intensive.


Next upgrades: awaken support gems, more spell suppression (around 80 now), perfect increased amount life flask with 40% hinder enemies for more damage with PC, include the defiance banner somehow to get around 30k evasion, bigger aoe for PB. Belt enchant for hindered enemies

Question: I really want to get blind on nearby enemies, it would scale really well with all the debuffs they're facing already, what is a good way to do that? I tried to run storm brand cwdt instead of the flame dash in that spot.. It helps with despair on enemies while zooming but most of the time they're dead anyway before they get 2 buffs. Also some maps are really hard without FD.

I also really wonder if another 6link poison setup with the additional 1 hand weapon or wand would boost this build. I like PC, it's not as mana demanding and I can attack reasonably fast with that little mana.

Nice post Kalzifor, can you make your characters public?

I'm thinking about getting a despair on hit ring so I can use malevolence as well. Currently doing blasphemy temp chains/despair and grace and precision so I got nothing left for malevolence.

For blind I'm just using a jewel with blind enemies on hit in my stygian vise.

I agree with everything Kalzifor wrote, pretty much sums up my own experience with this build. Its an awesome Mapper. Bossing is difficult - I had no chance with A8 Sirus in Last Phase. Build is way too squishy and has low single target damage. At least in my opinion. Poisonous Concoction has so many downsides (eating up Life Flasks, Low Damage with no charges left, no Weapon, sometimes missing targets because bottles fly over them ^^ etc.) and barely any good upsides.

My Modifications so far:

I went for Lifetap because Mana is a big issue. I managed to fit in Malevolence, Grace, Vitality, Flesh and Stone (Blind + Damage Reduction) aswell as Precision. Tempchain on Hit (Gloves) and Free Blasphemy + Despair Aura through Impresence. I have like 112 Mana left which is enough for CWDT and those other things you need to cast manually. Could free up more mana with Enlighten, but its out of reach for me.

Still squishy and still no good single target. But at least i tried a new skill an throwing a lot of bottles is funny.
