[3.15] Eye of Winter ES/LL Self-Cast Occultist

Started playing the game last league and rolled with Shak's vortex which was an extremely fun build. Found this couple days ago while thinking about rerolling and so far been enjoying the build immensely albeit still in low maps. The playstyle feels similar but is different enough to not feel stale. Thanks a bunch for the build and am excited to see what it can do!

Option for what? If you mean for Watcher's Eye, I wouldn't spend money on another Watcher's Eye besides one that has crit.

As for options...yeah so just don't use a Watcher's Eye and play the game. 70% crit is still a LOT of crit xD You'll do just fine without one until you can afford it.

Thx for the guide. i got a bit of question to hope you can help to answer.
1. in POB i see that we use awake hextouch, but we only has ele weakness and forstbite as curses(is it?) so normal hextouch is fine?
2. we're scale crit(heavily) so arent its better to use Frostbite+assasin's mark? or even Forstbit + sniper mark for long boss fight?

Awakened Hextouch got nerfed. It no longer gives you an additional curse. It just gives a chance to apply to Hexproof enemies. Normal Hextouch is perfectly fine.

My crit chance is ALWAYS 100% when I have Power Charges, which take half a second to get all 9 in a single cast of EoW. Sniper's Mark at this point would far outperform Assy Mark but the issue is that Marks only apply to one target. So yes, for a single boss Sniper's Mark would outperform Elemental Weakness. But Elemental Weakness outperforms Sniper's Mark on big packs of monsters like seen in Expeditions. Also, with the DPS that this build can dish out, there is no such thing as a 'long boss fight'. The difference in kill speed using Elemental Weakness or Sniper's Mark is fractions of a second, so you might as well use the one that can apply to a whole group instead of just a single target.

Gotcha, Thx for the answer.
So i am running on T16´s now but my ES is beign destroyed very often with 5.7K ES, how i can get much more, i have only 4 passives left and they are the path to foresight, and i will end with 6.1K ES, how you reached the rest to 7K ES?

other thing i have problem is that my damage on bosses is decaying (and im only at Awakened 5) i got stucked on 80% critical idk if my gems or my gear is the problem, but is like im not hitting criticals anymore.

Can you please see my POB if it's not too much trouble? idk what i can do now

Checked out your PoB and these would be my suggestions.

1- You're using a life flask? Why?

2- I would remove the 3 points to use your Transcendant Flesh Jewel and get Foresight immediately. You could also remove the point from 'Light Eater' that's inside the Thread of Hope wheel...it kinda sucks and I removed it a few days ago.

3- Use Tempering Catalyst (Defense) on your amulet. The extra 4% conversion is roughly 200 ES total.

4- Your Crown of Inward Eye is only 14%. Buying one with 20% is about 5c and would give you another 100 ES roughly.

5- Your ring and boots are rather on the low side of ES. Getting a combined extra 60-70 base ES from those two pieces would gain you an extra 200-250 ES or so.

I understand that doing #5 can be a bit expensive and screw with your resists. However, by just doing 2, 3, and 4 would net you about 800 ES.

As for your your damage is feeling low on the higher tier bosses, I really don't know how to answer that one. Your PoB even without Transcendant Flesh is about 600k DPS. In the videos I have posted killing the Conqs and Sirus, I had about 700k DPS. You might be misusing Hydrosphere or something, I'm not really sure. You should be able to blast bosses very easy with your DPS.

ok the flask it's my fault i forgot to get the others, i use it because i have that one with the anti-bleed roll, going to do the changes to my gear then.

on the damage side...i think i use hydrosphere in the wrong way, i cast it on the boss and i launch the eye of winter towards it to enable the pulsations and start to hit the boss, it's that the right way? i never used that skill till i started using this build, maybe some projectiles are lost in the way?

So even I'm very lazy about using Hydrosphere optimally but here's the 'right' way to do it.

You always want to cast your EoW over the middle of the boss, not over the Hydrosphere.

What you do with Hydrosphere is try to place it touching the boss, but sort of in a front-right or front-left position. This will catch a lot of projectiles that would have otherwise missed the boss and chain them back onto him.

Another suggestion would be to try and learn the 'range' of EoW. You want the final pulse of EoW to land directly on top of the boss. If you are too close or too far, you're hitting with a lot less projectiles and it would hamper your damage.

Anymore potential upgrades to this build, I know it can do everything fine but is there really anything else.

I recently bought a double corrupted Shavs. The next thing I'm looking for is probably insanity but whatever...a triple stat Watcher's Eye lol.

My belt and boots could also be better so I'll probably take a look at those sooner or later.
