Massive CPU LAG spikes. Please help.
I faced the same issue today. i7 3770k, gtx 970, ssd. A year ago everything was fine.

" Thanks a bunch mate! This actually helped me a lot. Dynamic culling was the only graph option which helped, but still had cpu lag. Now its playable. Thanks again. |

Hello. I Have i7-3770. Got same problem with CPU spikes from 5 ms until infinity.
Disable "Engine Multithreading" in Graphics settings helped me.
Could anyone please verify if this happens worse around challenge trophies? I've been trying to diagnose a similar issue and I wonder if it's the same issue but with smaller spikes: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3260107/page/1

Game is now playable with version 3.17.4. Using Vulkan renderer.
No more 3 secs freezed observed. @GGG : The game was unplayable for me during 4-6 month. But the job is done now |

OK, this may sound crazy (and IS a crazy way to resolve this, wake up GGG!), but try opening a browser in the background and playing a video such as on Youtube while you're running PoE in the foreground.
When I do this my graph still shows occasional lag spikes but smaller and less often, and movement seems stutter-free. When I pause the vid, the stutter returns. When I resume playing it the stutter goes away. I can only assume that playing a vid in the background prevents PoE from fully utilising the CPU cores and hitting a virtual wall somewhere. This is not my solution, I saw it on a different forum and it worked for me... just passing on the info.
I went through a collection of attempts to fix random CPU lag spikes. Not sure it works for everyone, but for me, I downloaded a program called ParkControl which will allow you to set CPU cores to prevent them from sleeping. My random lag spikes seemed to occur when the OS had spun down cores to conserve power, etc. but, then when action occurred, it had to use them, and spinning them back up had a couple hundred millisecond delay.
This may not fix the issue for everyone, but for me, regardless of other settings, such as "optimal performance" or "max performance" in Windows/Nvidia panels, etc. this made a night and day difference, none of the other tweaks seemed to help.
Your diagnostic file points to RAM errors while playing.
1) Deep testing of RAM / replacement of RAM / disable overclocking of RAM and CPU. 2) Updating the BIOS, reinstalling windows, installing drivers / dll / libraries manually (without a driver pack). Also, on older processor models, there are big problems with gaming mice with high DPI and polling rate. - in the mouse settings, reduce the DPI and the polling frequency to a maximum of 500.
