[3.17]⚡Velyna's Storm Brand Occultist⚡ 5M+ DPS Leaguestart | Hidden and Feared Viable

Why "5M+ DPS Leaguestart" is claimed in the title when Literal God (obviously not even in range for 99% of players) shows up 3M dps.
Or Im missing something?

Couple reasons:

It's 2 lines, 5M dps and leaguestart are seperate claims. The formatting shows properly when your scrolling the Witch section.

And the DPS just hasn't been adjusted for the changes in awhile because I forgot.

In the mean time, I've taken a stab at the starter / life tree for those who are looking for one - https://pastebin.com/PmfBUwNC

The chaos res cluster on the right is optional (you can take corrupting blood immunity there if you wish, a rando jewel early on normally does the job). If you take the Asylum cluster too, you get chaos res capped.
You can consider Anointed Flesh cluster and the Tireless cluster too.
A good dmg option is picking up Arcane Potency.

Since I've never played the build, I'm just not sure if this will have enough damage before all the gear. 2x CotBs will take some time to get. Limb too, which you really only would wanna use if you have Lioneye's, and Lioneye's (even after the shield skill nerfs) will be relatively expensive too for at least the 1st week.
Never played the build but thinking about league starting this. Looking forward to the 3.16 updates, and just wanted to make sure you know your work is appreciated Velyna!

exactly, this looks fun to start league, hope it will exceed my expectations ;)
Hey, I'm sure you figured this out already cause you are way smarter than me at this game, BUT... a bunch of your cluster jewels are basically not required cause of the masterys (from 3.15 to 3.16) especially holy conquest and the brand duration and attatchment distance nodes. Do you think this will be cheaper because of that?

Also, love the build planning on league starting it myself.

Not updated yet and the mastery that makes the brand attach to a new enemy is always the most expensive one so it saves allot of money.
I wonder if it's worth to get the upper lightning mastery "Non-Projectile Chaining Lightning Skills Chain +1 times" just to get more clear potential. Not 100% sure it would work, but looking at the tags I would mean our brand hit 4 enemies instead of 3.
