I'd be glad if someone could explain this to me. I just finished gearing up for the low budget variation of the build, bought all the crucial flasks and jewels, I checked what dps I should have on my carrion golems and it seems that my dps is 6 times lower than it should be. (250k vs 1.45m)
What I might be missing? 6x times more dps is just insanely far away from what I have.
I have tried to replace my skill gems to 20/20 all of them and it still doesn't provide as much.
So I noticed quite a few things and tried to fix them all, for anyone else curious:
Spoiler
However, after fixing things in "Configuration" and adjusting for better jewels stats and skill gems, there's still 100k of damage missing. Mainly because of "MH Hit Damage", what does that mean?
Any hints?
I don't have access to PoB right now but I think Animate Guardian might not be configurated into the flasks.
It's a huge part of our damage.

Well, that's what I thought but I disabled the flask on purpose. It's just this "MH Hit Damage" that's missing, even though I've tried to make everything as close as possible.
Hey, just wanted to say I've been loving your build, this is my first time playing a minion build (always play cyclone) and I really appreciate the effort you put into this guide and all the responses in this post have been useful too. I especially like all the early game stuff explaining when to swap gems, it made the levelling experience really smooth. Now, I would like some advice on something; I recently threw some alterations on boots and got T1 life + spectre (+1) and I'm not sure how to craft it further. My crafting experience is somewhat limited, do I just multimod it and add some resistance and movement speed? (for example movement speed + onslaught (or does that not trigger since our minions kill everything?)). I appreciate any advice, good luck to all!
Unforunately crafting is asscheecks this league.
You can get some decent boots out of those but it'll be expensive.
1. Imprint the boots using the Frog beast craft.
2. Regal Orb them. If you get high movement speed or High Resistance move to step 4.
3. If you get a bad regal, use the imprint to restore it to its original state and use another frog. Repeat this until you get High tier resistance or 30%+ movement speed.
4. If your regal was good, craft multimod for 2 exalted orbs on the item.
If you hit a high tier resistance:
Multimod Freeze immunity and movement speed.
If you hit high movement speed, multimod freeze immunity and a resistance mod.
5. Finish the item.
We have 1 modslot open, finish the item with either:
a.) Aisling Veiled Slam. Definitely the best but most expensive option.
b.) Elder Slam with beast and hope you get 35% stun or Ailment immunity.
c.) Close your eyes and exalt. Proceed by lying down on the ground and try not to cry.

Alright thanks for the quick response! I forgot multimod only allows for two others. Frogs are 80c each so maybe I'll try it once or twice but I'm not that rich ^^

Might be the 11% carrion golem nerf from the patchnotes then :-)

I also have/had this problem. I literally spent all day yesterday trying to figure out why his MH was anywhere from 2x to .5x higher then mine. Even with switching over my gear/items/gems to his, and vis versa. I'm still very much confused.
I did notice PoB wasn't applying some Debuffs ect, Like Frostbomb wasnt applying its effect even tho I had it active, but even when it did it still wasn't right. I really couldn't figure it out.

I don't think this would be the case? PoB updates the tree and everything to 3.14 does it not? Also, even your spectre's DPS was extremely high which wasn't nerfed, or at least not the same way the golems were.
If you look at my gear you'll find that most of my items are very cheap besides the wand I crafted. Whenever I attempt to make a gear upgrade I make sure that my life doesn't fall below 4.5k.
Unfortunately the prices on our items are outrageous right now, especially clusters and I refuse to buy them for those prices. I'm instead just trying to craft them myself with harvest reforges.
Gotcha. I'll check into more HP upgrades.
Do you happen to have a rank of what to get on clusters, if we can't afford the Renew/Vic/Rot one?
Currently have build has:
Large Clusters:
(2x) - Renewal
Minions have 5% chance to deal Double Damage while they are on Full Life
Minions Regenerate 1% of Life per second
(2x) - Vicious Bite
Minions have +15% to Critical Strike Multiplier
Minions have 30% increased Critical Strike Chance
Med Clusters:
(4x) - Precise
You and nearby Allies have 25% increased Critical Strike Chance
You and nearby Allies have +10% to Critical Strike Multiplier
(4x) - Vengeful Command.
Hatred has 15% increased Aura Effect
Which buffs should take priority or biggest bang for buck? I wasn't sure how big of an impact the aura effect had, but I'm more concerned with the large clusters as I think I can afford the med ones. Those are 1ex for 6p, or 1.8ish for 5-4 atm.
Why do people run Glancing Blows & Necromantic Aegis at the same time? Doesn't Necromantic Aegis effectively remove your block chance from the shield or am I missing something?
BTW really great build guide. My character is still a long way from being properly geared but already it has very impressive damage and map clear speed and I still don't have any proper jewel clusters or hatred scaling and only 4 specters so there's still so much room to improve further.
My survivability is really bad though since I went almost full glass cannon. With only 4.5k life and no defenses Ultimatums are really rough if I get hit. Also had to take Unwavering Stance to get stun immunity until I can fix that with jewels.
Will have a look through this thread to get some ideas on how to improve survivability. I would rather sacrifice some damage to have better chance at staying alive without dying so much.
