Simulacrum Project:

Just finished a x30 Simulacrum Project which took me a little more than 3 days.
Did x10 of them every day for 3 days.

They took me about 25-28 min per sim so on average, x2 simulacrums per hour.

Total Investment: 30 sims for 1.3 ex each -> 40 exalted Orbs

Total revenue: 206 exalted (Not accounting for Bulksales and some items that aren't priced. Probably more in the ballpark of 220 ex)

Total proft: 166 ex

Total time spent running them: ~15 hours

Profit per hour: 166/15 = 11 ex/hour

Conclusion: Do simulacrums if you want to make money.

How many rows do you fill on avg after the wave 25 ?

If I tryhard I get 6 bars every wave except for double tank waves.

Depends on layout too though.

On the boat layout at the dock in Act10 I almost never break 6 rewards. Usually just get 5 throughout the entire thing. Can't cover the monsters in the dock since if you run there your Vaal Skeleton dies from being out of range.

When I did this I averaged 5 rewards though because I was lazy and afk'd them up to wave 20ish. I only tried to get 6 rewards if I saw Scarabs. They get kinda boring after a while.

If it's Monster Cold resistance mods It's hard to get more than 4 rewards.
There are solutions to the tanky waves though We can run Vaal Impurity of Ice which allows us to negate monster Cold Resistance. I was lazy and didn't do any gemswap and didn't care too much about getting additional loot.

That being said, on average I think I made back the cost of the simulcrum by wave 12 or something. All you need is like 1 scarab wave pretty much and your simulcrum is paid for since those usually spit out 100 chaos worth of Scarabs.

You will also get a metric crapton of bulkmaps. (Make sure to Favorite T10 Tower, T16 Glacier and T14 Tropical Island) The Maps, Scarabs and Awakened Sextants you get before Wave15 almost 100% pay for the Simulcrum unless you're super unlucky with the rewards and get Lab Enchants/Weapon/Rings/Armour 10 times in a row, which can happen.

You will also get lucky doing those eventually. 5+ ex items will drop if you do enough of them.

well thats nice, but to do simulacrus so effectively you need invest into build more then 220ex :)
With my level of gear I only was able to do 29lvls and last waves were only like 3-4 reward flips

Not true, I farmed Simulcrums when my build was 50 ex in value.
I did a couple of them to afford Awakened Multistrike and an Empower4 cause my golems were dying in some waves.

Then I could do them comfortably. That was before I used Hydrosphere though so I was forced to gemswap alot.

I was farming Sims on this 50 ex budget (40ex for multi, 11ex for empower) until I had a mirror and got my helm in a couple of days.
However, I wasn't tracking my rewards to see exactly how much I made.

Since my gear was so much worse though, and I didn't run Skeletons et.c. but Phantasms meaning my dps was way less, I averaged 4 bars on loot after wave 20.
Still insane profits.

Only when I made upgrades to the build was I able to consistently get 5-6 bars of loot depending on layout, mods and # of bosses.
This is one of the most extensive guides I've read here GJ.

Was looking for a build for the upcoming 10 day gauntlet event. How SSF is this build? Planning to level max 80.

Honestly, not sure how it would perform on SSF.
It uses quite alot of uniques in the early game like Clayshapers, Victario's and Golem jewels which might be troublesome to get on SSF.

You also want green Triad Grips which could be troublesome to get on SSF too.

The build was mostly designed for trade where you easily can get specific unique items for a couple of chaos.

I'm afraid dps could be lackluster in SSF scenarios.
That however, seem to always be the case for most SSF builds so maybe it's okay.

I would probably make some changes to fit it for SSF.

Np!

I'm gonna spend the last weeks/month of the league trying to perfect my lower budget builds. I think there's alot of optimization I can make for them and make them strong for 3.17.

Both 3.15 and 3.16 tried to break the build so had to find quick kneejerk solutions to make it work so will have to revisit the lower budgets again.

While at it, I might try to make a SSF friendly version for it.
So Im totally new to PoE and I tried to follow your guide, but I got lost in skill points since everything changed in 3.16. Did I miss the updated skill tree in your guide?

EDIT: NVM, I figured out how PoB works :D

This build is super fun so far and surprisingly tanky! Though going back a few pages and reading some of the updates and changes you've made, I feel like I might be an iteration or three behind.

Levels are obviously the priority for me right now as I'm only level 79 - there's a lot to be gained in this area. I still need to find a Watcher's and I still need to run Uberlab as well.

Aside from that, what changes do you think would have the biggest impact? Survivability seems fine, DPS could definitely use improvement. It's not BAD, but compared to the potential I feel like I'm missing out on a lot.

I appreciate the awesome guide and any guidance you may be able to offer!

Edit: I realized I didn't have enough mana to reliably trigger BV and/or Bone Offering so I temporarily grabbed Arcane Will to solve that. DPS feels MUCH better now that I am reliably proc'ing BV! Still would appreciate any insight, however!

Besides high ticket gear upgrades there's mostly some gem juggling which you should look to implement if you want to boost your dps.

This setup has less clear though cause it runs no ranged minions but I still find it the best overall:

Chest - Golems + Skellies:
Carrion Golem
Vaal Skeletons (21/0)
Empower level 4 (If you're poor, use Empower 3) or Awakened Melee Splash for clearspeed
Awakened Minion Dmg
Awakened Elemental Focus or Divergent Predator
Hypothermia Support

Helm:
Raise Spectre (21/0)
Raise Zombies (21/20)
Feeding Frenzy
Awakened Melee Phys (You need this for Intimidate in the build)

Awakened gems are very important

This opens up 2 new links.

Get in Vaal Molten Shell and link it to Increased Duration.
You want to Numlock trick your Molten Shell, watch a video of how to do it.
It's super easy.

Also, your Phase Run should not be linked to Second Wind. It increases its mana cost without giving it any benefit.

For Spectres, use:
x3 Primal Crushclaw and x1 Carnage Chieftain

Holy crap did those changes make a difference!

Was having troubles killing a single synthesis boss before (quickly, at least), but I made the changes you suggested and just plowed through a forgotten invitation in about 15 seconds. It was over before I knew what happened!

Thanks again for your wonderful insight!

What would be your suggested for the most impactful big ticket upgrade? I'd love to get a good Hatred wand but it seems like it might be a challenge with so many people migrating to the temp events.
