[3.21] Cold Conversion Summoner | Build guides for all budgets | (Ghazzy Zoomancer)
" I used to be an Elementalist on my builds before during Heist and Harvest league. Reason was because I was a golem player and Golem elementalist felt like the best choice back in the days. But I was unhappy with the clearspeed (ST was good) so I wanted to incorporate another minion for clear. That's why Spectres are in the build. I like the survivability boost we got with Elementalist through the addition of Chaos Golem and Stone Golem. I don't think running 6 Carrions as an elementalist is the best option. Slapping on an additional 1k hps and 22% melee phys reduction on the build is just insane. The biggest problem with running Elementalist is that you're extremely dependant on socket slots on your items. You want to force in a Frost Bomb and two golems into the build. The playstyle is also pretty clunky as you've got to apply both curses and frost bomb while running around. When I played it, we didn't get 25% additional exposure so I didn't run Frost Bomb. But now it's probably mandatory. Maybe it's possible to run Frost Bomb + Hextouch + Frost Bite to apply debuffs on single target. Might be worth trying out. Another thing I've thought about is replacing Carrion Golem with Ice Golem. I used to run Ice Golem with Redemption Sentries during Harvest league (Before I knew how to use PoB). Ice Golems were just simply inferior to Carrions back then though so swapped to carrions during Heist. The Base of Carrions did more dmg than Ice Golems back then AND they had a 50% more multiplier(5% per minion) which you just couldn't compete with. However, Carrions have gotten nerfed every single patch since Harvest and Ice Golems just got a 30% more damage buff across the board so maybe they're actually as good as carrions or better even? Using Ice golems would allow us to drop zombies from the build, and since we're running Frost Bomb Elemental Army does nothing. This would open up gem links to fit everything we want. The biggest problem with running Elementalist was the squishy minions. My AG had like 56k hp so lost him a couple of times. Wasn't too fun. Might look into it again later. |

Hey guys!
I've now finished the PoBs for the build and it's looking pretty good. I've made a early game build which goes pure phys from the getgo. We simply run this build until we got the gear to go cold conversion again. The second PoB simply is a lowbudget build. However, it's higher budget than in the past, but still should be very cheap to build. Acts and Early game PoB: https://pastebin.com/fLLjydQd Most information you need can be found in the notes within the PoB. As mentioned earlier, this PoB runs pure phys early on. The budget here is very cheap, mainly ~2 chaos uniques and a tabula. The rest is rares to fill Life, resistances and Attributes. Major changes include: Fitting 2 additional Auras in the build early game. Provides alot of Elemental resistances, 100% ailment immunity and alot of Life Regen. There's also alot of skillgem optimizations to increase the DPS. The changes actually has made this a stronger leveling build than before. The minion survivability talents are also very strong for our minions early game. Low Budget: https://pastebin.com/u144F1CD Biggest changes to the build is that we're running an additional Aura (Vitality or Purity of Elements) and ditching Storm Brand to selfcurse with Frostbite instead. This opens up for additional socket slots allowing us to fit our new aura and both Unbound Ailment + Elemental Army to maximize our dps. As for spectres, we're swapping from using Syndicate Operatives to using Hyrri's Watch spectres. If you want more information about these early guides you can read more within the PoB. If you have any questions, feel free to ask anything. |

so we will still do cold conversion even after the DESTRUCTION of EE? interesting, thought cold conversion was done. importing the POBs! thx for your work bro!

I might be wrong on this because I didn't read about the new aura changes. But running purity of elements could open up a huge defense boost.
If we run purity of elements we can actually go a different ascendancy right? We can drop Commander of Darkness and pick up Mistress of Sacrifice. So now we can get Bone Armour and Bone offering (block + life gain on hit). Would the additional duration we can have both up 100% possibly? With glancing blows we can get close to 75/75 block too. Life regen and phys reduction. That could completely cover our defenses. Let me know if I'm looking at this correctly. Last edited by Doritheexplorer17 on Oct 19, 2021, 10:21:18 PM

" You are correct. Purity of Elements provide us with 30% all res (Think it's even more) and 100% ailment immunity. We could theoretically ditch Commander in Darkness in favour of running two defensive nodes for tankiness. Or you could continue running Commander in Darkness to help with gearing early on. By taking Commander in Darkness, Purity of Elements and Sanctuary on our skill tree we get over 100% all resistance, something we can get right before we hit maps. That will make early gearing extremely easy, all you need to get will basically be items with high life and dexterity/strength which sell for literal alchs. As we get better gear we can drop Commander in darkness as you said and go for both Mistress and Bone Armour to make us really tanky. My plan is to run a Skin of the Lord chestpiece for the 100% gloval defence modifier and an Auls uprising amulet. The lategame goal will be to run both Determination and Grace who got insane buffed values now. The buffs the efficiency will allow us to run all auras. With the new buffed values to auras + a Skin chest we'll be having over 20k Evasion and 20k Armour ontop of everything. Throw Vaal Grace and block cap from Glancing blows ontop of that and we're looking to be close to unkillable. The hardest part is point efficiency on the skill tree. |

minion information will be available only after ggpk datamine, right? any alternatives in mind for SO replacement?
edit: oh! I just read your comment talking about Hyrri's Watcher Last edited by ipoxca on Oct 19, 2021, 11:51:57 PM

SO have an attack time of 0.6 seconds whereas Hyrri's Watch have 1.5. Isn‘t that in general a problem?

@Deadandlivin
1) In your new PoB we can take both Indomitable Army and Ravenous Horde by placing ToH with Very Large range instead of Quickening Covenant. 2) Do we play with 2(3) Specters early on, when Silver Oil can be a scarce ? 3) We take no Clusters at all since 3.16 ?
" Any chance you could divide up the passive tree by acts for noobs such as myself?
" Got alot of work to do, might see if I find the time :( If you go to the notes there you will get a list of what order to get everything. It might not be as "pretty" as dividing the tree and creating sections but should help guide you how to spend your points if I don't make the update in time. Gotta theory craft higher budget builds for now. |
